How long has he been without pooping? It is very normal for a breastfed baby to go two weeks or so without pooping at all. Breast milk is easily absorbed by the body and so produces very little waste often, so very little poop. He could just be gassy. Make sure that you burp him after he eats until you actually get a good burp, even if it takes 10-15 minutes.

In the beginning they do, but then later they have less. Some continue to poop often though. As long as he continues to have at least 6 wet diapers a day. If he is having less than that, then he needs to eat more.

Good! Also, make sure he is getting enough hind milk, which will increase his poops. Hind milk is the milk that comes out towards the end of nursing on one breast so make sure you drain each breast before moving to the next one! A good way to tell if he is getting enough is by the color of his poops. If it is greenish, he is just getting fore milk. If it is a good curdled mustard looking poop, then he is good. :)

Then I would try and get him to nurse more to empty at least one side per feeding. Is he gaining weight? He needs the hind milk to grow steadily. Try nursing him as long as you can and then burping him. Then nurse him more. If he falls asleep, strip him down to his diaper to keep him awake and use a wet washcloth on his feet if he still falls asleep.

Yay! But definately try to get him to nurse more. His poop shouldn't be green. :) And a wet washcloth won't make him sick. lol.
