Hire a sitter. My mom never ever babysat for me. She made it clear that even in an emergency she would not. I had a sitter lined up for when I wanted the occasional night out.

Let's see... Mom wants to go convene with Jesus at church and not watch the child of her teenaged daughter so she can go out and party.

Yeah, SHE'S the b***h.

Part of being a mother..........is not doing things that we want to because we have CHILDREN.

You sound like a spoiled t**t.

Hire a baby sitter or just don't go, if she has a problem with that she wasn't a real friend to begin with, you have a child, you don't get to do everything you want, your kid comes first.

I think wanting to kill your mother for not babysitting is a major over reaction. Hire someone. It's your child not hers. She doesn't have to babysit just because you ask her to.

I hope your mom sticks to her guns.

That's part of being a parent. Sometimes you actually have to be with your kids when you'd rather be relaxing.
