Going back to breastfeeding? Army Wife + 2 El Paso, Texas 756 posts

I stopped breastfeeding my daughter several days ago (It was so stressful, and she had a lot of trouble latching) since shes been on only formula she only poops 1-2x a day, shes very gassy, fights her bottle (like she wants it but pulls and pushes away from it and gets fussy), shes also a lot more fussy

I want to try to breastfeed again, my breasts are still swollen, and lumpy (lol) and milk is still coming out, so do you think I still can? Even after not pumping or breastfeeding for almost a week?

You'll never know until you try. :)
It may take a little extra work, but just keep at it and eventually both of you will be pros. Invest in a nipple shield - that may help.

Don't forget that exclusively pumping is an option as well. I have been EPing for almost 4 months now. Even if you don't get enough milk to completely feed your baby, ANY breastmilk is better than no breastmilk, and it's all better than formula. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions...and good luck!

Mine are too. I needed to use a nipple shield for the first 4 months.
