Quoting Amber1993:" how many times do i have to say IM NOT READY TO BE A MOM i have been saying that this whole time. i ... [snip!] ... selfish. what if i said you driving a car was selfish for the slight chance you might get in a crash and do harm to the baby?"

Wow... apples and oranges, honey. You don't get into a car intending to hurt your child. When you smoke, you are purposely and selfishly putting that child at risk for the potential dangers of lung cancer, asthma, other breathing troubles, etc. You really don't get it, do you?

Well maybe she's trying to kill the baby. She doesn't care about the sweet baby.

You got lucky that your tattoo didn't harm you or the fetus. Whoever is messaging you agreeing w/ you is not very smart either. For the 18492th time, it is fact that tattoos while pregnant can potentially be dangerous, as well as cigarettes & alcohol

Come on.

Here you go op. These are proven links to smoking while pregnant.

Maternal smoking has long been linked with increased SIDS risk. The increased risk correlated with how much the mother smokes. Several studies have demonstrated that passive tobacco smoke also significantly increases the risk for SIDS. The risk for SIDS is increased, in normal birth weight infants, about two-fold with passive smoke exposure and about three-fold when the mother smokes both during the pregnancy and the baby continues to be exposed to tobacco smoke after he/she is born
http://sids-network.org/experts/smok.htm

Smoking robs babies of nourishment. Many studies have shown that infants of mothers who smoke have lower birth weights. The poisonous nicotine narrows uterine blood vessels, thus reducing blood flow to the baby in the womb

Smoking robs baby of oxygen

Smoking injures little brains.
New studies suggest that the developing baby's brain is injured not only by lack of oxygen, but also by the chemicals in cigarette smoke, which may be directly poisonous to developing brain cells

Passive smoke hurts babies. New research shows that when pregnant mothers are exposed to second-hand cigarette smoke, their babies are at risk of having lower birth weights and show an increased risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), just as the babies of smoking mothers do. If father and mother both smoke, the risk of SIDS is nearly double.

You rock OP!

We're talking about cigarette smoking, no ? They contain literally thousands of chemicals linked to different cancers. You are not seriously saying it doesn't affect the baby are you ? no, it may not 100% f**k the baby up, but that baby will come out healthier otherwise.

I mean hell, at least get an e-cigarette. It has the nicotine, but not the harsh ass chemicals.

You would think.

I still stand by my theory that she's only doing this to piss people off because she's bored.

i was a few weeks pregnant when i got my tattoo...i didn't find out i was prego until i was 3 months though. if i would've known about being pregnant i wouldn't have gotten the tattoo...but there was no problems? still a risky thing to do knowingly....
