Are you really dumb enough to think that it's impossible to get an infection if they use a sterile needle?

Because you risk getting an infection? You HOPE those needles are sterile! You can NEVER be certain. You don't know if anything in that shop is even sterile.

Because you're risking your kids health for something that can wait a couple months. I'd call a woman that goes out and parties/drinks while she's pregnant selfish too

Have you ever had one ? It's not completely painless. Also, the immune system during pregnancy sometimes is lowered, so the risk of infection is higher. It just is not a good idea.

Any legitimate tattoo artist is not going to tattoo a pregnant woman. If they know you are pregnant and say they will tattoo you you should run the other direction.

What is wrong with you?
The infection doesn't just come from the needle. It can come from the gloves they use, the lotion you use, getting something on the tattoo and not cleaning it 100%, there are a million ways for a tattoo to get infected.

Why the fuck can't you wait a few months? Pregnancy isn't that long. Fuck.

If the tattoo artist accidentally injects the needle to far and it enters a pregnant womans blood stream the baby will get ink poisoning. Its best to wait until after the baby is born for more than one reason. Now if you don't value the life of your child than please feel free to get as many done as you like but i know a lot of tattoo artist that will NOT touch a pregnant woman.

i know there is ALWAYS the risk, but i have plenty of tattoos, all from the same person, and never once has anything got infected

I think personally it is not something that MUST be done and can wait until someone gives birth (40 - 42 weeks is not a long time to wait to have a tattoo)

The ink itself poses no threat that has been found YET. They don't have enough research on it to know for sure but getting a tattoo poses the threat of infection, which can affect the pregnancy. Which, in my opinion, would make it not worth it. a person should put their baby first and wait til the baby is born the get all they want..

But obviously nothing we say on here is gonna stop you or whoever else decides to get one. You asked for opinions and you got them.

Your immune system is shit when you're pregnant.
If you're dumb enough to do it, and the person is dumb enough to allow you to, go for it.
Everyone's telling you it's a terrible idea, but you don't care. So why even ask? We're not going to agree with you risking your child's health for a stupid fucking tattoo.

Okay :? There are several ways it could get infected. Not just from the needle. Just wait, FFS.
