Milk helps some people
Apple cider vinegar I heard helps too, never tried that one tho
Pickle juice, another thing I heard but never tried
Peppermint
Chewing gum

But what helps me is taking a hot shower, and using a heating pad on my back/chest, I don't know why it helps but it does a little, plus sipping on milk or chewing on ice for me

the quarter teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water is DISGUSTING, almost made me vomit trying to drink it... but as soon as it hits your stomach, instant relief. Its main ingredient is one of the main ingredients in tums :)

Papaya... Either in fresh or pill form. It doesn't taste as bad as Tums or Malox but it lasts longer than both of them and on top of tasting yummy... it works a ton faster! Also sleeping slightly propped up helps keep the acid in your stomach at night. I have had the same issues my whole pregnancy... GL honey!

I get heartburn from trapped air sometimes, usually f I drink pop the fizzies will help me burp and my heartburn goes away. If it's acid causing heartburn, I drink milk and that will sometimes help. You don't have tums or anything lying around? definitely invest in some on payday! if it becomes a frequent problem get some zantac.

I have acid reflex and ran out of mylanta. I just want it to go before it turns into yet another ER visit.

Doing the vinegar stuff can help.. like the pickle juice and the apple cider vinegar. It should help stabilize your own acids. Have a momma in my DD group that says licorice works for her and she was told to try it by someone else. She just gets the twizzlers kind and she had some horrible heartburn before. Good Luck!
