I would consider that a still birth.

I would consider it a still birth, I could be wrong but I think in the UK before 14 weeks it is considered a miscarriage but after is considered a still birth

Miscarriage, or spontanious abortion, is defined as losing a baby prior to reaching 20 weeks of pregnancy. Losing a baby after 20 weeks of pregnancy is defined as a stillbirth. Either way you put it I wouldn't think you would be insulting anyone. Call it what you want but I don't see how YOU could have prevented it.

I believe it is medical technically a miscarriage because it is before 24 weeks and that is the lowest age they can save now. I would say it is a stillborn.

I think anything before the age of viability which is 23 or 24 weeks is considered a miscarriage, because it is very very very rare for a baby to survive before that point IF the hospital will do anything.

Babies can be saved at 20 weeks. The hospital I went to with my second considered anything after 20 weeks viable and would work tirelessly to save. All depends on where you go.

Medically, <20 week is a miscarriage, >20 weeks is a stillbirth.

This.

I had a second trimester loss, it was prior to the 20th week and was told it was a miscarriage and thus did not get a birth or death certificate.

Can I ask a question... 2 parts. if you have to deliver the baby no matter the age is it still considered MC? Is the baby still small enough in week 19 to pass on its own as a MC?
