Does anyone know what it takes to get your kid into modeling? Like, what they look for in a kid? And how do I know if an agency is legit or not? How do I even FIND an agency?

I'm going to be trying baby gap when my LO Is 8 months. That's what I believe the age requirement for them is.

I entered my DD in a Baby Gap model contest and she didn't make it even to finals :?
But I guess that's different than actually auditioning for it...
Where do you go?

Your child should be outgoing and unafraid of strangers. As well as exceptionally cute. A real agency will never ask you to pay for anything (including portfolio shots) they will make an investment in the expenses associated with getting jobs for your child. I'm not sure how to find an agency there, there are many "agencies" that are nothing more than schools. Wilhelmina has a children's division, I believe Ford does as well. Those are two legit international agencies.

I haven't tried quite yet. I'm stuck on the whole deal of how to go about it too.. I have quite a few professional pics of DD though, so I could make a portfolio and try finding an agency. Your daughter is gorgeous btw :)

I've taken several really nice pictures of her and I can take more, so I guess I could make a "portfolio" :)
And thank you!
These are the pictures I entered. Guess she's not cute enough, lol.

You can google search for agents in your area. Once you find one, you submit a photo. If they like your kid, they will get in touch.

She is very cute. You should try a pic with her hair down. It looks like it has curl, and that is a big selling point.

It's curly...but it's not "defined" curly...It's wavy and curly all over in different spots...It's weird. Lol

Thank you :)
I love her hair, I just have no idea what to do with it...It starts to look "messy" if I leave it alone, but if I brush it, it gets frizzy.
It's all my fault, I have ridiculous hair :P

Part it on the side, and put a little clip in it.

This is my daughters page.. She started at 9 months. If you have any questions feel free to ask :)

I'll have to try parting it on the side...it just keeps growing, except instead of getting longer, it gets CURLIER!

Your DD is very cute :D Now she looks like a kid model :) Definitely like the kids I'd see in brochures, lol. Did someone approach you or did you contact an agency?
