Severe headache when pregnant. ~REAPER~ +2 baking #3 Due June 27; 2 kids; Toledo, Ohio 15039 posts

I know I've posted before but now I'm getting these horrible headaches on a daily basis.

It startes at the base of my head and feels like pulling then works it's way up my entire skull like an intense pressure. Moving standing up and walking and light make the pain worse. It honestly feels like someone is pushing my head with their hands and nothing makes it go away.

IDK if these are migraines or tension headaches but has anyone else experience these on a daily basis while pregnant?

I'm only 15.6 weeks and it's getting to the point IDK how much more I can take. Sleep is the only thing that makes the pain stop but I can't sleep all day since I hae my son to look after.

You may need your blood pressure checked if they're recurring.

Weird, I had super bad headaches after I had the baby, but nothing too bad when I was pregnant. I'm not sure if Pre-E or high BP can give you headaches but I know my OB said if you ever are having alot of headaches then you need to be checked out.

I used to get super bad migraines that would last for days!!! I usually tried to ride it out and see if it would let up on its own, but they never did... And Tylenol never ever helped. My Dr. prescribed me some meds that actually worked. They eventually went away and I haven't had a bad migraine in awhile.

Hope you feel better!!!!

I get those! Not every day but mayve 3 days a week. Like mind numbing, almost migraines. I'm 17w1d. My OB said if your bp is alright and youre getting enough fluids, youre just one of the unlucky ones... lol. Sometimes they can prescribe migraine meds for you

You just explained the exact problem i've been having this pregnancy. I honestly think it's my couch that starts it...if I sit back against it the puffy part at the top of my couch starts kind of mid/upper back and I thought maybe the pressure of it pushing against me makes my neck stiffin up and the base of my skull get tight or feel like something is pulling. Then my whole head hurts and my neck hurts and back when it started my throat, sides of my neck and everything would be tight and feel like something was squeezing me from the inside. It drives me crazy and turns into a migraine most times. I don't know what to tell you :( Sometimes I think it's tension but I try to sit differently on my couch. I have to use a body pillow behind me because the stupid cushions sink in where your butt and hips go...so it makes your back arch and is super uncomfortable. I HATE this couch and need a new one, but I do get those headaches sometimes when I haven't even been sitting on it.

This is the problem for me...my bp is fine and I get plenty of fluids. My OB prescribed me fioricet but I mean that's not for all of the time use, and people unfortunate like us get these headaches quite often if not everyday and I don't want to risk using that medicine more than a few times in the pregnancy, if that.

Didn't mean for that to be a post and run my FIL showed up randomly but

1 month after I had my son in 2010 I started to get a lot of headaches.

they were actually almost gone untilI became pregnant in Feb/March

now they are the worst they've ever been

my blood pressure has been excellent at all of my appointments except the first

IDK what is the cause I saw my PCP last year and she would do nothing but put me in Pt which did not help but she prescribed Fiorecpt which was the ONLY thing that helped me.

I am so lost except for meknowing these are chronic tension/headaches/migraines and I actually hurt so bad last night I cried so hard I vomited.

My aunt vomits from her migraines...the ones I get like you are talking about make me a little nauseous sometimes and dizzy even..just a tad. I cry though too...you just want it to stop. I hope you can feel better soon hun...I am just NOW getting less headaches/migraines and i'll be 20 weeks on Tuesday.

You said Fioricet helps, my OB prescribed it to me while pregnant she just said it's not something okay to take a lot but when I REALLY need it.
