Ok so I need advise and opinions there is a lady in my aparment complex who has a 3 and 2 month old who has been concerning everyone in our aparment she will not take care of her baby she will not feed it untill someone tells her the baby is hungry and the people who are telling her are 12 and younger the babys diaper is always full to the point where pee is running down her leg,and when you offer to change her she says oh its fine she waits untill the baby is scremaing to do anything and even then she hands her baby to someone outside and take almost a half and hour to come back.Just the other day it was almost 90 outside and she had her baby in a long sleeve sleepie socks and a huge blanket the lady from downstairs and I offered to bring her in only to notice she was so hot she was drinched in sweat and was breatheing very heavy.I know that this is not my child but I am so worried about her because I see how her 3 year old gets treated today he spilt baby powder on the floor and she hit him everyone outside heard him scream and her doors was closed when he came out he had a hand print across his face.Do you all think it would be wrong of me to call social services?Everyone has talked about it here but hasent steped up I feel like if anything would happen to them poor kids I would be to blame as well for knowing and not doing anything.I read a articile the other day about a guy who was babysitting and got tired of the child crying and slamed him aginst the wall the baby later died of brian damage. And everyone in the complex knew about the abuse but never steped up to say anything.Am I in the wrong for feeling this way?

dont call cps - call the police. cps takes their sweet ass time to start a case. call the cops and tell them to come and investigate.

If everyone in the complex has the same feeling, then I'd say that there is something wrong. So no, I don't think it would be wrong to call social service. I mean if EVERYONE is talking about it, then that's not good.

CALL! If something DID happen to that baby, would you be able to live with the fact that you could've called and saved her life, but chickened out because you didn't want to rock the boat?!?
They will not reveal who called in about the situation to her, no matter how much she asks. Even if they don't take the baby away, maybe it will be a wake up call for her and she'll get her act together!

you can call, but how do you know all of the details of what is going on inside of her house? like the fact that the 3 yr old spilled baby powder, if her doors are closed? and the fact that she is not feeding it? just wondering. i would call for the simple fact that you have seen pee dripping from the diaper.

I would call. Has she always been like this or do you think she might have ppd? Either way she needs some serious help. IF she hits her child like that again you can call the cops. They'll show up and if there is still a mark it will be easier for them to take both children.

I know the fact about the baby powder because when she came outside today with her son I asked why he was screaming and where the hand mark came from and she told us he droped the powder on the floor so she smacked him to show him he was being bad.And she admited outside to her husband that her baby hasent ate since he left for work .And told him she hated makeing her a bottle .

She was like this with her first son cps came in and taught her how to take care of him untill he was 3 and she got pregnant again then they stoped comeing and helping her I have tryd helping her but she is always so rude and trys to tell me how to raise my 4 month old .I've giveing her the premadeformula bottles to help her out but she took them from me and dumped them in the trash.I know this has nothing to do with what you asked but I don't know what else to do to help these kids there to young to help themselfs and they have a great dad he always takes care of them when he's home and does everything he can for them but he knows what's going in and won't leave he has told her he was going to if she didn't start takeing care of them but still has yet to take them.

thats weird, sounds like she wants the world to know she is a bad mom. maybe she doesnt even want her kids. just call, or something worse could always happen. besides, like someone else said maybe she will wake up and be a better mother.
