I'm just wondering if any of you mamas have used this for your children and if it does help them learn?

My son is only 2 right now and I think he really wouldn't sit and be interested in this until he's 3 but I was just curious if this helped your child learn easier or not and if they were interested in it.

Also did you use it along with pre school and K-6 as they got older as an after school session as well?

TIA

Is this a paid only site? I've never heard of it, but I'm curious!

I saw the commercial, and I think my son would love it, he loves games. But it costs money which sucks, he saw the commercial and said he wanted to do it.

Yes it's like 8 dollars a month or 79 a year.

My husband actually brought it up to me for our son to use...but right now I'm afraid he would only destroy the laptop and we need to get a mouse for it because we just have the little touch pad so...IDK? and he won't sit on my lap and let me SHOW him yet...

Damn independent thing.

Ya know if my son is willing to sit and learn from this I may just give in and pay. He won't sit still and let either of us read to him or sit and let us teach him.

LO is very much NO I will do it MY way ON MY OWN.... Ugh it's super frustrating so I figured if he can play games and learn double win.

He likes to fiddle around with his V-tech laptop but he's just not old enough to understand how to work it :/

I've never used ABC mouse since it costs money.

My oldest kid uses a program called Starfall at school, and he put it on for my middle guy one day, now he's always asking to play "starfall"

DD(3) Has been using ABCMOUSE.com for almost 6 months now. She absolutely loves doing her "lesson plans" & has learned alot from it. I think the price is great for what she is learning. =)

Okay as I posted above I got the V-tech smile from someone but no power chord :/ It takes batteries so we may invest in some rechargeables

would my son be old enough for this? we have like 6 games with it.

We bought the v smile when DD was younger. We returned it the next day. to us was a waste of money.

I guess I need to correct myself. We bought the v smile baby and for us it seemed very generic, very blah. The V. smile is aged for ages 3-9 i believe. So it might not help your son until he is a little older. But on the other hand abc mouse starts when they are younger and grows with them.

Well he plays it at school, but it's an free learning website.

I've never tried those VTech games though. I've always thought they looked interesting, but never tried them ourselves.
