This week I took my daughter to Boston for another consult about her pit bull attack. She has had 6 reconstructive surgeries. The last surgery they took the inside of her lip and pulled it outside of the mouth to form a lip and mouth. She was able to smile and frown, as well as, almost completely close her mouth.

The issue was that nerves were left exposed. Also, the lip is meant to be inside her mouth so it tears and bleeds often making it real sore for her and hard to eat. They have reconstructed the cheek, but may have to open it to repair the nerves left exposed.

I have many worries and so do the doctor's, but they are really good. So far she has about 8 different ones helping her. They are doing more research before they decide on a care plan, and her next surgery. We will go for another consult when they decide.

She also got set up with a woman that helped with medical makeup for her scars. I have tried a couple times to make sure I can do it for my daughter at home. My daughter was really happy when she saw the makeup make her even more beautiful.

Yes he was hun. Thank you. She has been seeing doctor's for this since she was 2. It is amazing what they have done. When they first started she didn't have a top lip or any left cheek.

I'm glad they were able to help her! The makeup makes her scars almost completely invisible. I can barely see them!

She was 2 when she was attacked. I don't think I can bring myself to have a dog. My daughter is the strongest person I know. She has no fear of animals. She loves them so much I sometimes think she will end up working with them when she gets older. It scares me, because she will try to love on everyone's animals. She always says she is either going to be a doctor or a animal doctor.

Thank you everyone I really appreciate the support. I love her so much and she is always beautiful. I tell her that everyday. We have been really lucky to meet some of the people that has helped us along the way. I consider them true angels on earth.
When the reconstructive plastic surgeon told her he would be able to make it almost all go away we both cried we are so happy.

I think it is wonderful that despite everything she has gone through she still has a strong love of animals. I can understand why it worries you though. I have to watch my DD like a hawk when we are around other people's animals, because she will go up to any strange dog is I am not watching. It terrifies me thinking that one day she is going to get hurt. You little girl sounds like a very strong young lady. I know you must be very proud of her.

Your lil girl sounds like mine lol. She wants everyone's dog. I feel bad, because I know she wants a dog. She even lied to the school and said she got a puppy for Christmas this last year.
Thank you, I am extremely proud of my kids!!
