I know MF can't touch babies skin right....?
So say I go to walmart and buy those car rags, and put them UNDER the other stuff that touches babies skin?

I'm wanting to cloth more then paper diapers. My son is 18 months and hes great at night 8pm-8am in a BG with a 4layer alva thingy...and he slept all night from birth

IF this baby does the same (doubt it lol) what is a good night time diaper for a new born...
I only have 3 newborn diapers lol must get more

So I had my first encounter with stinkies and my baby isn't here yet. What fibers cause diapers to hold in that pee smell?

And has anyone used assunta store covers? I'm really thinking about ordering the tiny covers since I have 16 kissaluvs coming, ordeing 6 prefolds and 6 flats but only 3 covers. 1 flip, 1 thirsties duo size 1 that should be here tommorow, and 1 rumparooz NB that will be here between today and weds.

Ok soooo I am new at this, and my son will be here in T-minus 8 weeks or so. I am looking into trying this, and the type of cloth diaper I would like to try is, one that is waterproof, one that is simple to put on without extra work such as pins so that way I know it will stay on. One that is machine washable, and doesn't have to be dried on a clothes line. I think so far that is it, except oh I would like one with gooood absorbency that don't leak easily. Any suggestions, and since I am trying this out and I am not for sure if I will keep doing it, I would really like it to be in a lower price range if possible.

Sounds like you want a pocket diaper. I'd recommend alvababy.com

They have lots of boy ones, too. You just have to look in the right places. Their website is a little confusing.

I have found a few of them too so far, I found a camouflage one, and then one with little animals and a jean looking one. Oh this is sooo worth it lol. I can't wait for my taxes to come back because this is def. What I plan to use part of my tax money for. How long does it usually take an order to come back? And do you know how long the diapers usually last?

It took about two weeks for my order to come through. I've only been CDing a few months so one of those other ladies could give you a better idea how long they last, but usually through at least one child.

Ohhh awesome! How are you liking it so far? And what was the hardest part for you with all of it? I don't plan to have another child for a few years, at least until I get my education finished! But I do know I would probably whined up buying new ones anyway with my next if this sticks with me, just because I don't figure I would want to put my next in the same ones, just for my own thoughts on it lol!

If they're still good you can totally use them again for another child :) you're gonnna become addicted haha. Even if u had a girl use them at night or around the house :) but you'll eventually wanna try some diff kinds probably so you know what you like and what works for you :)

Oh yes that is what I plan to do! I know if his daddy is ever watching him, I will just make sure I have a stash of regular diapers so that way he doesn't get all grossed out since that is what he said will happen lol. I won't be going much of anywhere at all for at least the first few weeks, so it will give me a chance to try it out. Is there a forum for like how to clean it or how to rid the diaper of the poop lol? I want to prepare myself so I know what to do exactly. I know I saw the one for washing and what not, but I want to know how you dispose of all of the stuff and what not :D

I love it, I could NEVER go back. The hardest part for me the constant criticism I get from my family for it. But the rest is cake.
