Quoting ~Manda Panda +3 ~:" Not bad at all!"

absolutely. We have to spend that for laundry anyway so it will just be a few extra runs. I had someone tell me that I'm not going to save any money because of those coin op machines. HAHAHAHA Yes, even with that, I will save money. People don't realize how much money they spend on diapers!!! I can either buy a pack for 15-20 bucks and have it last two weeks. OR I can use my cloth and spend at most 5.00 a week to get them clean. And I'm thinking about when baby is little and more diapers come in a pack. When baby is in 4's 5's and 6's, barely ANY diapers come in a box.

Haha yup. I was way too excited to care about the nay-sayers. Sabrina has an awesome saying too. Ask if they'd want to wear paper panties lol. All in all its like everything else in parenting. You make the best choices for you and your family. Not everyone will agree with it but as long as they show you respect that's what counts. Let the rest slide off your back.

So DS' rash has flared up again ... i HATE sposies!

I think im going to have to get some used prefolds/covers this week to try & clear it up before our new stash arrives in 3-6 weeks.

Poor bub!

I wiped his butt with the sposie wipes and he cried.

Mamas can i ask if im offering a reasonable price?..

Im wanting to buy some 2nd hand prefolds/covers and have come across a PERFECT set online.
http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/travancore/other-baby-children/real-nappies-birth-to-potty-pack-rrp-599/1014845302

The lady selling has said she may be willing to split the pack for me so i can get the crawler size and has asked me to make an offer... does this sound reasonable?...
(this was my reply)

I put them into size categories and divide by 4 to get a better/more accurate price per size/set.

$350

I got that a lot when I first started. "You have no idea how hard it is, you won't last." From people who had never done it  Five months in and I'm still at it.

Yupp. And she might be 'smart', but this will show her that you know more than she does about some things!

i just bought 2 large Thirsties diaper covers and 36 large Birdseye cotton flats. I'm hoping that and my 3 wool covers will be enough to get me thru 3 weeks. is there any thing else you ladys think i'll need?

I had family members actually taking bets on how long I'd last. Just over two years is how long I lasted. Would've been longer if my jerkface kid didn't potty train on me :x

Has anyone used BumGenius?

A mum has offered to sell me 10-12 for $50 with day & night inserts..

I might try them instead of prefolds/covers until our CD's arrive from the US.

Im not sure which version, but if anyone has used them and can let me know what they're like i'd be really grateful.

I have a bunch of them. I like them. They aren't my favorite but I use them often for around the house. Although lately they smell when she uses them :( But only this brand. I gotta figure that out. They are a tad bulky but really I don't mind them a bit.

Quoting Jace's Momma.:" How do you go about washing//drying pockets? We won't have our dryer for a few more days (just moved), but I'm so ready to try our cloth.. anyway to do it without a dryer?"

Line dry :) Lay flat. Don't have to have a dryer. Is your stuff new? If it needs a heat seal it could leak a bit until you throw in the dryer. But it might not.
