<blockquote><b>Quoting Moses.:</b>" And Bunny, that is realistic prices. You should see swap pages. It's ridiculous. And I think what really ... [snip!] ... these women who buy their dipes from WAHMs, use them then resell their stained up, edgewear diapers for more than they paid :? "</blockquote>

I did my research before setting a price. I looked at comparably made and materials major brands and WAHMs first and then kind of averaged them out.

I really don't understand how some WAHMs set their prices, let alone how people price used. I'd prefer to buy new over used and I'll pay more for WAHMs if I know the quality is good because a lot of time and energy goes into making a good diaper. Some are just clearly not worth the prices I see on them.

So true!

Im trying to steer clear from bigger brand - mass produced.

The few WAHM's ive purchased from are amazing.. i was SO shocked when i got my first WAHM diaper, totally impeccable (squishy butt)

The stretch in the elastic was even nicer then my big brand names - hence why im in love with them lol!

I think some WAHMs start off as high as they think people will go for, not what they think would be reasonable.

This too... The only new stuff I own is wahm stuff... I'd buy more of it and try more if it weren't so expensive but I'm willing to pay... I just don't want to pay $40 for one diaper. :(

I did the same thing... looked at etsy and compared products until I got ones that looked similar to my quality and priced like that.

I know some ladies do it by price of materials, then add time invested... which I understand you don't want to be paid "slave labor" prices... but just because you're a novice and take 2hrs to do a 20min project doesn't mean it's worth 2hrs of work. :/

I think some are just plain high LOL

Etsy is always good for a laugh... some of those things are so basic and easy yet they charge so much (not talking about diapers in particular on this comment)

I got some off etsy once.. it arrived and the elastic snapped as soon as i stretched it GENTLY.

The workman ship wasnt the greatest either.. but she only charged about $17 from memory.

I try to stay away from Etsy and Hyena Cart unless I'm looking for new WAHMs to pitch. I LOVE doing reviews/giveaways for WAHMs, I'd rather do it for them than big companies. But I can't take too much of it Some WAHMs not only charge too much for bad work, but they are rude, ungrateful and entitled. I hate when WAHMs say, "I don't understand why people buy from big companies. Support WAHMs. It took me hours to make that diaper and you should pay 50$ for it even though you're cloth diapering to SAVE money, or you're (not supportive, unamerican, selfish, rude, etc). There are some great WAHMs out there and also some rotten ones.

I don't usually buy from etsy at all. I go for ideas of things to make myself sometimes though (for xmas or other holiday gifts).

I ONLY buy super cheap diapers though too so... like ebay cheapies. I don't pay more than $7.50 for a diaper. But that's because I can make them myself. I know nothing about any brand or WAHM diaper, that's why I don't say much here. I'm so outta the "loop" 'cause I only use them, don't really buy them. haha

I can't bring myself to pay more than 10$. Even then, it makes me cringe. But I'm well stocked with china cheapies, and if I need anymore I send out pitches and do reviews. It's a win-win.

Yeah, I'm way to cheap for that. Not saying the WAHM doesn't deserve it or should lower the price... I"m just not that rich lol And again, can make it myself.

I got quite a few "good" ones from friends. I have a bunch of Fuzzibunz and other brands I don't remember 'cause I don't follow brands. haha

Exactly. It isn't that they don't deserve 20$ for a diaper. I just don't have it. But I don't know about 40$+ for a diaper, unless it lasts forever and is made perfectly. The exception to that is wool.
