Also, when you aren't using the pins stick the pin side in a bar of soap! It makes them slippery. :)

My mom still has her original Curity brand cotton gauze diapers from her first baby in 1969. I like them, but they are definitely worn and thin now.

Lol! Well back in the day the gerber prefolds were like regular prefolds... Now they have some kind of stuffing in them and my kid pees right through them. He isn't even a heavy wetter. lol. My mom still doesn't understand why I don't let my diapers soak in borax and water while I wait to wash them. But on the plus side she is excited for the flats and handwashing challenge. Lol. My son goes over there for one afternoon a week (when I babysit a 4 year old for the afternoon) and she's all ready for it. Usually Ijust send pockets and use flats at home so she's excited for the challenge. But I think she wants to use pins instead of snappies. :)

Quoting LoveMyBubbaBoy:" I don't push the pin all the way through. Just through enough for it to be on the bottom fabric. :) ... [snip!] ... on the bottom fabric. :) But I usually use my blankets as doublers in a fst which are much easier for me to get pins through."

yeah I am not trying to stick it all the way through and I tried it with a flour sack towel which seems a bit thinner and the middle part was still too thick to even get through the first layer! it is very frustrating, I am not sure what I am doing wrong, or if the pins are just weak.

So I disappeared a few hundred pages back

This time last year, I started cloth diapering full time!

The first picture of my kiddo in cloth, although I only had 6 diapers at this point so we weren't using cloth full time yet.

I also haven't bought anything in MONTHS. Did Alva steal any more cute prints from other companies? Lol

I figured it out, you just gotta get the downward angle just right and then bam shoot it back upward fast enough to do a quick stab through the fabric, close the pin and done.

Double Yay! I'm a little jealous of that store find... It might be a good thing there isn't one of those near me, though.

yep it did help!! But it doesn't even matter!! I got the origami fold pinned on my son and he was ok but then I put the plastic pants on and he kept saying "no" and pulling them off, then I tried the padfold and he hated that too. He went and got a disposable from the box and handed it to me to put on him. I am super bummed out right now! I don't want to force him to wear them, but ugh, I don't wanna keep using disposables because he is being a brat about it. :(
