I wonder how much they sell it for at wal mart, i will have to look into it! :)
I know michaels or other craft stores might be pricier, how many yards did you use? Just one? he only poops about once a day on average, and the pee diapers are super easy to handle since I will need to wash nightly with the amount I have currently.

That is awesome your experience is going so well! Most people wouldn't be so determined as you are.

I got a lot of liners out of a quarter of a yard, for like, $2!

1 yard is more than enough! And I got mine at Joann's with a 40% off coupon. I haven't checked Walmart though. :) I just always stick them in because it keeps his skin so nice and dry. I wash every other day and have more than enough to do that.

yeah being broke really motivates a person!! lol When I first learned about cloth I was like "hahahah, NO WAY!!" and now here I am using the most old fashioned way! I think looking into it for so long and learning soo much about it prior to starting really helped. Plus our car payment and electric payment are both behind, knowing I can buy plenty of reusable diapers for the same amount of money I would spend on one one box of disposables really got me. I grew up poor-ish, never had brand names or even new clothes often, so being thrifty has stuck with me since childhood. Now I am figuring out how to switch to cloth wipes. Gotta save up some money first.

Haha I hear that. End of July, in LA, I probably could. I don't think the hospital would like it though haha.

I'm looking to do a bumble bee theme for this chiclette. I have some cute bee fabric I could make her some. I just need to find yellow/black stripped socks/babylegs... and I want to make the girls a matching set of shirts, DD2's will say "New bee" and DD1's will say "Old Bee" with bumble bees on it... is that lame? haha (we're gamers, it's a gamer saying)

oh cool, so I could use the extra to make cloth wipes!!! :) I am currently using the disposable wipes we bought a big box of them a couple of weeks ago, but I hate that I can't just roll them up into the diaper anymore, so I have to hold the poopy ones just right and toss them into the trash......gross!! lol Sooo cloth wipes seems to be the next logical step, I can roll those up into the diaper and toss them into the wetbag. How many liners and wipes can you get out of a yard, do you think? If you do 8x8 wipes? I read you would need about 50 wipes for a day....

50 wipes a day?! I use one per diaper change most changes. Sometimes two. I'd say the most i use in a day is 15 wipes.

I actually use baby wash cloths. lol. Like the super cheap ones. They seem to be scrubbier than fleece would be. :) And I only use 1 per change (even poop) so I go through about 6-8 a day. But for fleece I guess if I were you I'd just start with a yard and see what I could get out of it. lol.
