Ok ladies, O need some help. My econobum cover came in today and so I figured I would use it as I had been using the gerber plastic pants, put it on over a kite folded and pinned flat, BUT the fit comes out all funny.
Like it is very tight around the waist due to the cloth wrapped around his waist and the pins, but then it is baggy in the butt. I actually had to put it on the smallest rise setting to pick up the bagginess of the butt and it fits him!! Dang he is skinny, lol. Even though I can see it is not too tight when he runs around it seems like it is too tight around his waist even at the biggest snap setting, the fabric kinda pinches around the hip snaps...idk if that's just because they are "cheap" or what. I mean they seem fine, maybe it is just my inexperience, idk. I just feel like I could get a better waist fit with them, but idk why I am terrified of trying the pad fold, even though he only poops once a day, I worry it will even leak pee with just the pad fold.....idk.
Here is a pic,(sorry it's dark, my phone is dying so flash was disabled) the legs fit great, it fits great on his back and the front rise is perfect, it's just the hip tabs seem to be folding and they seem tight to me........does it look ok to you guys?

It looks good to me. And, just try the pad fold! I highly doubt it will leak, but do it when you aren't going out just for peace of mind.

I did two padfolded overnight last night for the first time and it worked great!
I will try it again later today, maybe if I fan out the back or something it will hold poop better?

A girl on the cloth diapering in huntsville group on facebook was having trouble with covers over prefolds because she has a chunky boy so today she came by to buy 10 of my prefolds & a cover. She didn't have the $10 I was asking for, she had 20 so I got $20 & she got a little wetbag along with a snappi to help the price difference. I felt good about giving her something that will definitely work better for her! She's not experienced enough with pockets to get them to fit good & she had been using a size 2 thirsties cover that came down to her sons knees in the back. He's 3.5 months old so I gave her a black & white Bububibi DG cover that has good elastic & is stretchy.

yep, he pooped while using the pad fold and it had bunched up in the middle due to his running and whatnot and well, it leaked all over just inside the leg parts of the cover, it didn't leak OUT of the cover, so that is a good thing, but the cover had some poop on the inside lining. I just hand washed it and it is sitting out on my porch chair in the sun drying, I didn't want to wait until wash day tomorrow because I really prefer the cover to the gerber pants. SO he is now running out sans cover since I know he only poops once a day and is not a heavy wetter. So far, I really like the econobum cover, it seems to work quite well.

If my son doesn't feel like waiting for a snappi, I fan theback out. :) then the poop usually stays off the cover.

yeah I think i'll stick with the kite fold, I figured out to make it work and it looks great, but I do like two padfolded flats on top of each other for nightime, since I know he doesn't poop at night, it works well. :) His poops are otherwise random, so I won't be using the padfold during the day, lol.

Guess who tie dyed prefolds today! So excited. I hope they turn out well. Gotta let them sit over night and rinse in the morning.

Right now I need to clean this GD craft room. My daughter came in here like a hurricane... construction paper every where and she decided to cut yarn to make hair and worms. OMG it's every where!!!! T_T

I need to either gate her out or put a safety knob on the door (the door doesn't latch right). >_<
