Mine will be here in about 2-3 weeks and I am so far behind with sewing because my life has been too chaotic. My stepdad was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer July 3 and passed away July 25. There has been way too much for me to be doing to help my mom out with paperwork and other stuff. I know I won't be putting her in cloth until about a week old so I'm hoping that buys me enough time to get them done.

Yeah, but preemies are "normal" for my clotting disorder and they set me up with induction when I hit 38 weeks (DS2 was 37w6d and I was having PTL for a couple weeks with him, DS1 was 35w5d). They are anticipating she'll arrive at about 36 weeks.

Can anyone tell me what 'Best Bottom' diapers are like?

Is their velcro any good?

Im after something very sticky - like totsbots or grovia. (ive heard blueberry velcro is great as well)

I find Thirsties & BG really pathetic so always opt for snaps with those brands.

TIA mamas!

I just have a couple of questions.

What is the best brand for prefold diapers?

Can you get prefolds small enough to fit preemies? If not, what brand do you recommend?

Is rock in Green a good detergent?

And has anyone used Charlie Banana cloth diapers and if so are they good?

Lol. Sorry it's been about two years since I bought or used a cloth diaper so I don't remember a lot of things. thanks.

Green mountain diapers have my favorite prefolds! And they have a premie size!

Not sure on rockin green. I have had to do trial and error with detergents and the only one my washer/water works well with is tide. That's the only detergent that makes it so I don't have to strip them.

I have some Charlie bananas. I like them alright. They have adjustable elastic I. Their one size instead of snap down rise. They fit my skinny leg kid well. :)

This I could never understand, but how do you know they have to be stripped?

The inserts have a gross smell after one pee. They don't smell like pee, they just smell disgusting.

Cotton Babies has preemie prefolds for $1. I don't find them to be any less absorbent or functional than Green Mountain Diapers Cloth-eez prefolds.

I have OsoCozy prefolds. They work very well and I have yet to have a leak, though I'm sure the covers play a good part in that. Not sure if the have a preemie size, but I know they have a newborn size that is supposed to fit like 6-10 lbs.
