Im hoping some mummies are on :)

Im looking at buying some sized thirsties covers and wanted to know if their large is giant?

Im just wanting something slightly bigger then their size 2 duo in rise etc (the duo sizes a little too small here) but not anything huge.

TIA mamas!

I don't have any bigger sized ones, but the GMD website says that the sized thirsties covers are true to size with the weights they recommend while the duos fit a lot smaller.  :)

Ok, so I forgot completely about taking pictures of the stuff, but I'm about to strip all of my inserts so it'll be a good time for stain removal and such.

Can anyone talk to me about having TWO in dipes?

We've almost CD'ed my daughter since birth and I just found out we are expecting #3. About how many newborn dipes would you start off with? I only have 4, plus a few prefolds that I more than likely won't use, or if I do, it won't be often. I wash every 2 or 3 days as it is with my daughter's stash of about 35 or 40.

How many diapers (other than newborn) would you have all together to cloth diaper two?

I started my daughter off in CD back in February and built up a stash enough to only wash every 3 days or so. Then I also bought a small newborn stash consisting of 24 prefolds, 6 covers (we only use 4 of them), and one AIO. Some of the OS diapers I bought were too small for my daughter to begin with since she was around 32lbs at the time. She has grown out of most of them, except for the fuzzibunz size large that we have, but for the first few weeks after the baby was born it was like my laundry load quadrupled, diaper wise. I still only needed to wash every 2 days or so, but there were WAY more dirty. Now I have DD in mostly disposables since we only have 6 of the fuzzibunz, and DS is full time in cloth and can wear both the newborn and OS (he was born weighing 10lbs, 6oz, so he has fit in most of the OS since birth.) I wash about every 3 days again and could probably go longer if I really wanted.

I feel like that was rambly and not at all helpful... Sorry.

Most of my stash are one size pockets. I know I prob wont use newborn for long but I figured I'd buy some cheapies or used ones to hold me over the first couple months.
My daughter was 9lbs 6oz atbirth and still stayed in Nb sizes for a good 3 or 4 months. She's an itty bitty thing now. >.<

& yea I'd buy some NB diapers. Milla grew fast but was still in NB dipes a little over a month. You could always just buy some used in the Cloth Diaper Swap & Sell on FB. Or elsewhere. I didn't like my NB pockets, they were a PITA to stuff haha. I really liked the way the BG NB AIOs fit. I bought them used though fo sho. Also the swaddlebee simplex NB. & prefolds w/ covers. I used fitteds but didn't like them. I would've bought some hybrid fitted NB if I had heard of them when she was a newb but I didn't know about them until later on, darn it.

It is 100% a shocking surprise. I don't even know how it happened... It took SO long to TTC Kinley that the though of an oopsie baby was almost laughable. Jokes on me.

Well, DS was 10lbs, 6oz and his newborn diapers still fit at 3 months. I have slow growers. though. He's right around 12lbs. DD was the same way.

I found my prefolds as seconds from cotton babies (they are OsoCozy infant size, which is I think 6-15lbs)

Sorry for my blank posts the other day, my phone was not working...

Anyway I have a question about nigh time diapering.... Having tons of leaks unless I get my 6mo up and change him in the middle of the night. I have mostly liners with covers (the flip system) I use during the day and some different brand pockets we use for night. I usually stuff 2 inserts for night time, sometimes I add an extra soker but it just makes it too big and doesn't do much good anyway so I stopped. This just started happening within the last month so IDK if its because he is just wetting more or I thought maybe I needed to strip them so I did that but it didn't help much.

If you have a heavy wetter and have found something that works all night what are you using????

I have MF inserts and cotton prefolds (I don't really use the prefolds, he will cry for a diaper change each time he wets lol) Should I try bamboo/ hemp or some other insert instead???

I really NEED to find something that will work, my husband tells me to just go get some disposables for night time but I DONT WANT TO!!!

PLEASE help! Thanks

a super heavy wetter try a pocket stuffed with 1 charcoal bamboo and 1 hemp insert. Hemp on top of the bamboo. For us that is bulletproof!
