White Colostrum?? Kassi Dixon Due July 19; 1 child; Pennsylvania 133 posts

I'm 36 weeks pregnant and today I had white leaking from my breasts instead of the clear colustrum that I've been seeing for months. I always though colostrum was clear or yellow? I had trouble bf my first because of low milk supply ( it took about a week to come in ). Is the white stuff still colostrum or beginning of milk? Does this mean labor is near?? I'm supposed to be having a scheduled c-section.

It's still colostrum. Your milk doesn't come in until days after the baby is born.

My colostrum varied.. Clear-white-yellow and one time almost orangish... I'm retry sure it's not milk... Milk hormones to kick in till after the placenta comes out.

I would have periods where my colostrum would be white, clear, yellow/white.

It's not a indication when labor will start.

Milk doesn't produce until the placenta is detached from your uterus.

Ty all! Hopefully this is a good sign that I will be able to successfully bf this time around. :)
