I'm 38 weeks and have noticed a creamy milky white discharge. It's basically looks and feels like lotion. There is no odor to it. What is this??

Could be d/c or a yeast infection. I had one a few weeks ago. If you have the doc look at your weekly appt they can tell.

It's not cottage cheese like or smelly. Sorry tmi. lol I just got over a yeast infection a few weeks ago. I've had 2 this pregnancy unfortunately. And I have no irritation, itchy, redness, etc. I've had alot of discharge this pregnancy. I wear panty liners when I leave the house so I don't have to walk around with wet panties. haha I've had nothing that looked like this though.

Sounds like your loosing your plug.. Thats exactly what happened to me around that time of my pregnancy. Nothing you should be worried about.

Well I had my membranes swept 2 times after that and I didnt go into labor for another week and a half. You can lose you plug and it can grow back again and you can loose it again. So it might not mean much that your loosing it.. Good luck mama!

Mine wasn't cottage cheese like or smelly either :? The only way to know that it's not is to have a dr look at it however. I have started losing my mucus plug as well and some of it looks like snot as well as white gooey stuff......

When I lost my mucus plus with my first it was clear snot like and came out all at once so this is totally new to me. I had to take Diflucan to get rid of my yeast infection and doc said it will continue to work for weeks after you take it I guess cuz I was complaining about this being my 2nd during this pregnancy. Yuck! I don't go to doc again until wed for pre op so maybe I'll just wait and see if it changes.

My doc actually had me take one diflucan pill that day...and then another the next week. I've never had to do that, but I'm guessing there was a reason???? lol If you start having any kind of itching or just "not feeling right" down there (I can always tell something is off, even if the symptoms aren't all there) I would call. They would most likely just call it in for you.

I actually just had that 2 weeks ago. Mine had no odor either and was not itchy. I just had a lot of it. My ob took a sample and told me it was a yeast infection which surprised me since my last one was not like this at all. He prescribed me Fluconazole which was one pink pill and it almost worked immediately and I stopped having the discharge.
