Anyone else have one of these? My doctor told me my pelvis is shaped like an oval instead of a heart shape and if I have a big baby i will probably have to have a c-section. Just curious if anyone else has any information on this or personal experience with it! thanks!

My doc has never mentioned the shape of my pelvis, but I have had 2 normal vaginal deliveries so I must be ok. How did your dr determine you have this?

Interesting, sounds like an uncomfortable exam. It must be fairly uncommon since there havent been any comments.

it was pretty uncomfortable but i'm glad i found out now rather than while i'm trying to push a baby out. But the research i have done says 2-5% of women have this. So it was a long shot hoping someone else was in a similar situation!

Im 38 Weeks Pregnant and I Have Been Told I have A Platypelloid Pelvis as well. There Is NO Family history Of It At All What so Ever. My Doctor Told Me that My baby is measuring Big Which i have Family History Of (I was Born 12lbs 11oz) So I Also have A High chance Of Having A C Section. The Type of pelvis We Have Are Rare & are Probably the worst ones To have for child Birth. I Have An Ultrasound next Week (39 weeks) to Determine If The Baby Is Actually big Or Not.. The Doctor told me If The Baby Was over 8 lbs I Would Probably want To Schedual a C Section. I Also feel kind Of Cheated But I Know That As Long As the Baby is Safe Thats all That counts :) Good luck And I hope This Was helpful!
