im becca. thankfully, i havent had to deal with morning sickness with this pregnancy! with my 1st son, i lost 55 lbs! during the pregnancy up until my 6 week pp appt. i lost 37 lbs during the pregnancy alone! had it up until i was 8 months along. this is your first? thats awesome. enjoy it! it doesnt last as long as you think!! when i was done having my son and a while had passed, i would see pregnant friends, and missed it! have you thought of any names?

Yeah my first 4 months were pretty terrible. I wasn't sure I would make it the whole time or how people do this multiples times! But it's getting better now and at almost 22 weeks I'm finally back at my pre-pregnancy weight. I can't imagine losing 55 pounds- wow!
It really hit me when I hit the half way point that it seems like a long time- but it's not. I have so much to do and I think the last half will fly by. How old is your other son? I babysit my friends 4 month old and 2 year old in the evenings and I don't know how people manage with small kids if they have MS like I did.
We're pretty settled on Logan- we still have two middle names to choose from. I'm so ready to get his name on the wall and start designing his room. What about you?

i like logan! what are your middle name ideas? well, i have my son who turned 2 may 29th! so he will be 2 and a half when his little brother, declan joel is born. my 2 year old is named nolen andrew. he is excited! my sister just had her first baby, a girl, in april. nolen loves to play with and help with his little cousin. he knows he has a baby brother in my tummy, and will even say his name sometimes. at first, he would tell me no when i asked if he had a baby brother in my tummy! he would cross his arms and say no! lol, its cute. he is an amazing little boy!! this pregnancy so far is nothing like my first! everything went by the book with nolen! i was induced though, and labored naturally for over 38.5 hours!! that was hell!!! but with declan, he is testing me! im high risk for pre eclampsia, and he is breech right now. i have doctor appointments every 2 weeks for monitoring, and i have a 4th ultrasound appointment set for the 17 of this month. so far, everything is still okay, just a huge test of my strength! hopefully, everything will come back fine though, and i have another healthy baby! nolen was 7 lbs, 12 oz., 21.5 inches long! he is huge now though! i have 3 stepbabies, and nolen weights more then the 4 year old and just about 2-3 inches shorter then her! he isnt fat, just a thick all boy!!

It's so weird that later pregnancies can be so different. I guess it's the same and siblings being so different from one another. The first couple months, I was afraid of getting pregnant again because I didn't want to be so sick again. He would mention "having one more" and my heart would stop!
Keep me updated on how everything goes, hopefully things can continue smoothly. I'm sure it just makes you worry more than anything. I've had a pretty much textbook experience so far, besides not being able to eat and being sick for so long, I've not had anything unusual with the baby so far. So here's hoping.
I'm expecting a big boy myself - so please tell me how easy it was! lol. I'm 5'7" and his daddy is about 6'3" (and was supposedly stunted by meds as a kid). I don't see how our kid won't be long!
Did you breastfeed? Everyone keeps asking me and I'm going to a class next month. Wondering how hard or how inconvenient / convenient it really is. I've heard its better at least at first, so I'd like to try it. But I feel so clueless.
I have several friends with young kids and I hear different things from them. But, I have literally the first boy of the group! Everyone is so excited. I have two nieces, and 4 friends with little girls (one has two girls). Not one of my family or friends has a young boy. People have been buying all kinds of boy stuff just because they can. He should be very popular!

yeah, thats awesome! my son is big! i was induced at 38 weeks, because my doctor told me that my son had gained about 3 lbs in one week! at 37 weeks he measured 6 lbs 12 ozs, and then the following week he measured 9 lbs 14 ozs. my doctor said if i had any chance of having a natural vaginal delivery, he needed to come out now! but he was only 7 lbs 12 ozs. and im 6 foot even and daddy is 6 foot 2, so i knew my kids were gonna be monsters!! lol!! the labor was hard, because i wanted it to be natural, besides the inducing. and it went on forever! but worth it! do you have a birth plan yet? i chose to breastfeed, but it was completely my choice! i was the first in my family to have a baby, so i had no one to look up to for guidance, besides my mother and grandmother. my mother did not breastfeed- she was turned off by it because my grandmother breastfed for too long! but i knew i wanted to do it because of the positive effects it has on the baby! but i only did it for the first 6 weeks, then i had to go back to work. i never really produced enough milk to pump and store any!! i barely had enough to feed my son! he ate about every hour up to every hour and a half! i just didnt make enough, fast enough. i would have feed longer, through pumping and bottling it, but it wasnt in me. the day i went back to work, i dried up completely! but it was fun! a huge bonding experience with me and my son!! wouldnt have changed it! it was sometimes inconvenient only because of how often i had to feed. but it wasnt bad. everyone understood if i had to walk in another room to feed, or something like that. but my son was the first grandbaby for my parents, and the first great grandbaby for my grandmother! so i was walking blindly, but he has turned out to be a wonderful and SMART kid!
