I'm not sure if this is considered a "special need" or not, but to me it is.. My daughter has multiple food allergies to milk and soy, and we are suspecting possibly egg as well. It is so difficult to find things that she can eat with us since most things contain one if not both of those thing. :( Is anyone else dealing with this, or something similar?
i am. i have a 9 month old allergic to milk and eggs for sure, something in the hawaiin delight baby food (possibly pineapple?), and i'm guessing nylon because i bought him a hazelwood necklace strung on a metal thread covered in nylon and he broke out in hives pretty badly.
we're going to see an allergist soon, but i'm not sure what they can really do.
i feel your pain....my son wants table food but i can't really give him much of anything...it really sucks.
Quoting ~Sara:" i am. i have a 9 month old allergic to milk and eggs for sure, something in the hawaiin delight baby ... [snip!] ... they can really do. i feel your pain....my son wants table food but i can't really give him much of anything...it really sucks."
Awe I'm sorry :( I hope they find out everything soon! We are also waiting to see an allergist to see if she has any more allergies. She is almost 11 months, and on a high fiber diet as well because she has a "lazy intestine". Basically her intestine takes too long to move food through so all of the liquids get absorbed causing her to be extremely constipated
My three oldest had intolerance issues when they were babies. My current youngest LO is still nursing and seems to have multiple issues that are more severe then my older three. She has a milk soy protein intolerance and has an intolerance or allergy to corn. I'm talking to her pedi about getting her to an allergist to find out if it's a "true" allergy or a very severe intolerance. I'm paranoid about what I eat and I'm scared when introduce new solid food. Her pedi has not been helpful at all. It's been very difficult and stressful to deal with. :(
