Quoting Legendary Bonnie Beaver:" What I said was "And you think you're ready for a kid?" Because she's getting rid of a cat because he won't do what she says and is "mean." "

You can't discipline a cat. You just can't. You can discipline a child and redirect them. Two different things. Point blank. Period. End of story. I don't care what other scenarios you can come up with --- they're not the same.

And on that note, have fun arguing for about 10 more pages (like I'm sure you will). I have shit to do

I hope everything works out well!

Well, I never had a double chin....just saying. But I sure did feel huge! I don't really regret it though, at least not yet.

I know. And like I said, I understand where you were coming from.
I think the assumption, or comment, was rude. BUT I see how you got to it.
However, considering I speak to her daily and have heard about this cat multiple times, I know that it's not the responsibility and behavior that she has issue with. It's that she doesn't have the desire to keep him around and keep the shit happening. She doesn't love her cat like she will a kid. That's pretty obvious, IMO.
She doesn't have the desire to work on these issues. Or the tolerance for it.
There will not be an outcome as great as the one of raising a child.

I regret not having them done with the boys...well...professional ones. I did the "weekly" pictures.

Meh it takes more than education on a child from a website to raise a kid.

my 2 cents.

I agree with this. It'd take some KILLER myspace angles to help her.
