Quoting JJ+Steven+1 (13 wks):" If af showed up on the 2nd, then the 16th sounds about right, that's 2 weeks later. How long are your cycles usually?"

Ohh I forgot to add, on the 2nd..it was just brown spotting, the actually period didn't start until the 7th. i spotted brown for 5 days before my period started.that always happens...every month...not normal :(

I'm so confused about everything..my dr said that could be from an STD..which i don't have, and he tested me for it...and it was negative..big shocker...so i still have no idea what it could be from. :(

Oh okay. I wonder why he says it can be from a std when he's already tested you and it came back negative. So you O'd on cd 10 then? How long are your cycles?

you could have cervical erosion (cervical ectropion). I have it and I spot. bleed and have brown blood a lot during my cycles. I mostly seem to spot and all that the week or so before AF shows... Ectropion is NOT precancerous so there is nothing to worry about if that is what you have, and it is actually VERY common from all the research I have done... I have had moderate to severe ectropion for 4 years now, and the last few months it has eased up a lot; I don't bleed as bad as I did when it first started....

Oh, and the clinician and then my OB tested me for STDs when I first started bleeding... Nothing!!! The ectropion was caused from 9 straight years of hormonal birth control use... No one told me I was supposed to take breaks from it. :? Just remember that brown blood is old blood, which means that you are either not bleeding that bad, or it stopped then started again. I would go for a second opinion, and bring it to their attention...

Do you bleed after sex? I never do.

My grandmother passed away from cervical cancer in 2001. I have only ever had 1 abnormal pap and that was during pregnancy. they gave me a colposcopy and ruled out any cancer cells.

I had an ectopic in October of last year, and I believe that's when all of this started.

so, it makes sense that there could be damage to my fallopian tube, not so much my cervix?

Although, I had my daughter at 30 weeks, due to an infection in my uterus...which is why I had my ectopic. (my body sucks)

who knows, i just wish they could figure out something...

Same with mine, but that is because I switched to cloth pads almost 2 years ago...

And I do bleed after sex, but it's gone within a couple days. Cervical Ectropion is NOT cancerous or precancerous, so no need to worry there. It's just that the cells that grow on the inside of the cervical canal, move outward onto the surface of the cervix. Even the slightest touch can burst the sensitive capillaries and you bleed. It's mostly just annoying, and doesn't cause much harm....

JJ; I can't speak for everyone but I don't think you'd do anything to annoy anyone. Def don't annoy me. Tell those crazy pregnancy hormones to shut up lol

Easy: That sucks. Effin doctors!!! They just don't understand how long and hard a year of disappointments is! I hope you get some answers soon.

Aiden: Yup, wait a few days to test. Sounds like it could be IB. :)
