that was my dilemma. Full frame with no gear or upgrade and keep all my gear. I'm happy so far with my choice. I will make the switch one day.

I fear equipment switch too. And for the D600 or D800 I could buy a nice telephoto lens. The D7100 release March 14th next week. Curious if the D7000 will further drop.

I'm still editing but I'm pretty pleased. The focusing is the one thing I have to practice on this new body. I'm not quite there yet...

I have a nice flash now for my d80, that will work if I purchase a another Nikon correct?
I feel confident in myself to master a full frame with time, but yea I just dont know if I wanna invest all my money in just a camera or get a crop sensor camera and still have room to buy another things all at the same time. I can really see the difference between photographs that are shot full frame and not. Did you mention you just upgraded? If so do you mind me asking what you did have and what you up upgraded to?

I'd say go for the full frame, IMO. I'm getting the Nikon D600 soon, I can't wait!

I'd always been connected to people so I want to focus on that and I wanna start learning to shoot newborns more. I've seen tutorials on the pvc stands it does look really simple. My BD is in a band and he suggested using boom mic stands.

I think you did a good job. I love the B&W edit the best.

What would you charge for a 1.5 almost 2 month old?

Newborn price or just general child session?

Idk how sturdy or how expensive a boom mic stand is so I can't really comment on how well that will work but PVC is pretty cheap and I used 1 1/2 in so it's sturdy. The bean bag was pretty simple too and def. nice to have. Filling it was a challenge though lol

I think of newborns more like the first month- but you could easily get the newborn price still. Whatever you want to get for the shoot :)

That's what I think when I hear NB too. The mom asks about NB pictures but the baby was born Feb 4 so by the time we get the session booked and pictures take it's going to be really close to 2 months and I know I won't be able to get actual NB pictures for the most part so I'm hesitant to boom her for a NB shoot bc I'm afraid I won't be able to deliver what people think of as NB.

Lol it's such a hard choice! My thing was I wanted to have the equipment and I figured if I could make enough money doing photography to buy a full frame by next yr I would do it and if not then I don't need to spend that much on a camera right now bc the crop sensor does what I need it to. And I got the d7000, 50mm 1.8, speedlite, 2 umbrella lights, extra light stand for my flash, and a tripod for under $1300 so for me that was worth it lol

Thank you. I know there is still some yellow lingering below her nose in the colored ones but for the life of me I can't figure out how to fix it
