Quoting Ryleigh's Mama ♥:" She wrote me & told me how much she hated those pictures & that it was a dark day & her light ... [snip!] ... added even more noise into them. I would have just left them off of Facebook :/ But at least she knows they look bad. lol."

Maybe she should just offer to re-shoot them for the family again.
Not only is the noise/light/editing bad.
But he angles are bad in some of them too.. It just seems like she had a off day all around.

Quoting I♥AnnaBanana:" Bless her. Yes, you don't have to put anything out there you don't want to. That's a part of being a ... [snip!] ... a good photographer, IMO. And if her light broke and she doesn't like the photos, offer the family a re-shoot at no cost. :) "

She just said that they asked her to put them up :/ & She didn't want to. lol. She said she had a shoot with another little girl that morning that went TERRIBLE & then she had them & they didn't want to go outside & wanted low light indoor pictures on a black background. She's going to delete the album soon.

She didn't let them pay her so that's good. & I guess the family is easy to please & happy with them. I don't know how.. lol. But I agree, it's all just really bad :/ She definitely had an off day & I think she tried fixing how shitty they were by editing & then just ended up with a big mess.

:( The biggest thing I've learned, since working in the hospital taking pictures, is that you HAVE to take control. You're the photographer, you know what looks good, and it's your business and reputation. While you need to take into consideration and try to give the people what they want b/c it is their photoshoot that they are paying for, you still need to give creative direction and be in control about how the lighting and such goes. You can set a "darkish" (for lack of better term) mood but make sure you have enough lighting for a good photo.

I understand things happen and I'm sure she knows that(^). Sometimes it just happens and you try to please people too much and that is what happens :( at least they liked them!

Oh ok I was just wondering. I didn't actually click on it to see the quality though so I couldn't tell you it was noisy lol.

getting a little discouraged. A lot of photographers around here share their calendars, and they have sessions booked all month and all throughout later months.

I have barely anything on my calendar! ugh, where's all my business. I'm going to just keep telling myself that it's because of the cold weather and no one is thinking of outdoor photos right now. Hopefully once it warms up, I'll be getting a steady flow of clients again...

urgggh!!

Mine comes and goes in waves. One month I am booked every weekend and others not so much. I am slammed during summer for warm season. I hope once my studio opens next year, it's different. :) I understand the frustration. Just keep marketing and pushing ahead!

I can only see a slight vignette on the 1.8 but other than that they look identical pretty much.
