Lol at least it was in focus. :P It's really cute! :)

This is what happened when I asked DH to take a picture of DD and I. Then again I completely forgot to explain BBF to him so it wasn't completely his fault.

Quoting Mrs.Dani:" Anyone know where I can get a keychain to fit a 4x6 photo?"

As in 4x6 in? Wouldn't that be a little big for a keychain?

I quickly read through the last few pages and I just feel the need to address something.

I don't in any way condone stealing copies of software programs or actions. If this is going to be started being done openly on this thread then I will be leaving the thread.

Honestly, I don't understand how photographers can get upset about clients taking screen shots or doing things with their pictures when they are working on illegal copies of Photoshop or using actions that someone has "shared" with them or they have gotten without paying for.

There are programs that are legally free to use (such as Gimp) and there are a lot of free actions out there. Not to mention the thousands of free tutorials for learning how to edit the proper way without having to rely on actions!

Please think about how you want others to treat your photos before stealing other people's way of earning their money!

I'm all for sharing links to deals and to free actions etc. but if I am the only one that feels illegally obtaining a copy of something that should be paid for and the general consensus in the group is that it is ok to use illegal copies of software and actions etc. and these "deals" are going to be shared here in the group or by PM to others in the group, then like I said, I can leave the thread and you won't have to read my opinion on this anymore.

so I'm off my soap box

WEll I mean a keychain that would be the same size as a 4x6 photo just smaller... Like.. I don't know how to explain it. Like the same dimensions as a 4x6 but smaller? All I can find id squares, circles, and this weird rectangle shape.

I get what you're trying to say. Hmm I'm sure you can find some somewhere. I'm not sure if the big name print companies like WHCC have them or not but if you can't find them you might be able to try Vistaprint. The quality probably won't be as good though.

So I have a few blog friends who are always asking about how I edit and such so I figured I'd make a video of me editing an old photo (not really old, from like a week or two ago lol). Figured I'd share it here. Vimeo still has like 20 min until it's done converting so if you're reading this right after I post it, it more than likely won't be finished yet. This is pretty much how I've been editing most of my photos with different tweaks here and there.

Nothing too amazing just bored lol.

ETA: I apologize for the jumpy mouse look and pauses at moments. I can't edit without music and when I'm doing a screen capture my computer decides it just wants to take it's time.

Maybe you could order just a regular keychain from somewhere or see if you can find some at like office depot or staples and then see if a company can print it small enough to fit. There has got to be a company out there who does keychains and has quality photos. I'd look around for you but it's 3am and I really need to head to bed.

Hopefully one of the other ladies can help!

great video.
And wow you do a lot on a picture. Do you do that much to every picture you edit? (I assume if you do basically the same thing for each picture that you have made your own actions and presets)

It's very interesting to see how others go through their editing process. Thanks for sharing that.

I didn't know the rule with the editing programs- the one I bought said that it could be put on two computers. So me & my sister have it on ours. I do see your point with the copying being similar to people using your photos. I couldn't afford photo shop- it was 650$ when I looked for it. So I settled for a version of Lightroom.

That's totally different than what I had meant. You bought your software and are allowed to have it on two computers. It's perfectly legal to have a copy on your computer and on your sisters. That wasn't what I was on my soap box about ;-)

I was talking about pirated copies. The type a person might download from a torrent site. If you can't update it when updates are available, you know it isn't legal.

I had just read through a number of pages yesterday where obviously people were talking about a known action maker and how to get some of her more expensive actions for free. Sites that offer that are doing it illegally. Downloading them from such sites is illegal. Sharing bought actions with someone else is illegal. I don't know for sure what was going on and I'm sorry if I'm wrong, but that was what I had the impression was happening. I know that some photographers action sharing exchanges with each other and that is wrong. I just personally feel a professional does not stoop to stealing, whether it's software, actions or using other photographer's photos in their galleries and claiming them as their own work. It's simply wrong.

I recently found out you can get photoshop cs6 for as little as $20 a month through creative cloud on adobes website there's also more packages where you can get more than one product for more a month.
