I'd *personally* get the 85mm. It'll be more versatile and won't distort the face. The 50 isn't BAD, I mean, I use it. But the 85 would be more ideal.

Thank you so much! I was trying to play around with them some more but think I need to approach it with fresh eyes tomorrow I keep going from too green to magenta :-( I think I'll be looking into one of those caps for sure! It may save me a head ache!

It was a 2008 I think though. DH says I should get a 2010 or newer? Or does the year really matter? I found another 13" 2010 4GB for $670 and it has two weeks of AppleCare.

I'm going to let DH look at it, but he really doesn't want me getting one. :( he wants something he can figure out how to fix if it has problems.

I've always wondered how well these work in comparison to the expodisc. I hear so many people raving about the expodisc but that thing is expensive lol.

Tbh those who have the 50 and the 35 have said the 50 is too similar and to go with the 85 and I hear the 85 is an awesome portrait lens. I have both the 35 and the 50 and I rarely (and I mean RARELY) ever use my 50 anymore. Saving up for an 85 though.
