Is there a big difference between that and the 50? Length wise?

I'm not sure if I want that next or the 35mm 2.0

Hmmmm....

It wouldn't hurt! You will profit a lot from prints if you price them right.

WHCC

And if you shoot with a crop sensor camera(which you do), you want to stick with DX lenses. If you use a FX(full frame) lens on a DX camera you're not getting the full potential out of it. Also if you use a DX lens on a FX camera you're most likely going to get vignetting, because the lens was designed for a smaller sensor, so it can't cover the whole area of the FX camera's.

I don't have a FX camera, but I've used one. My 50mm turned into a 35mm length. The 85mm turned into a 50mm length and so on. haha. I hope that helps.

And EF-S lenses won't work on FX unless you have an extension tube.

I believe they make it appear longer, like a 35mm, on a crop-sensor, would be closer to a true 50mm on an FX

FX show lenses at their true length, put a 50mm on an FX camera, and you're seeing it at 50mm. put a 35mm on an FX it'll be 35mm...etc.

no, it looked like a 50mm, you're not used to seeing a true 50mm, when you put a 50mm on your crop-sensor, if looks like 85, when you put your 35mm on your camera, it looks like 50..... so when you put a 50 on a full frame camera, you're seeing it as if your 35mm is on your crop-sensor camera, so i can see why you'd say that, lol.

So, if I wanted something close to an 85mm, would I want to get a 50mm? Or would I still want to get the 85mm?
