I LOVE that top one. So cute. I think I may want to make it a profession. I honestly have no clue what else I want to do in life. I am in college and just doing general Ed, but so far I have not found anything else I want to do. But I actually really enjoy photography so hopefully I will be able to make it into a profession one day. I have a maternity in a couple months. My friend is like 15/16 weeks, and Her husband is deployed so she wants some nice pictures to send to him since he isn't here.

Those are all so cute, but I seriously love the one with the belly peeking out.

Yeah I knew for sure that was one of the blankets I wanted to use. I also have a creme one I was supposed to use but I never got to it. :(

So, I've arranged a sort of "faux" wedding shoot. My brother is just going to go to the courthouse and marry his fiance, and since I'm going up there this summer, I'm going to do a shoot with her in a gown and my brother dressed in whatever he plans on wearing. It'll be like an engagement shoot with wedding attire, basically.

So I'm finally taking the step into becoming a 'official'. I don't plan on being some amazing pro that is constantly booking shoots. I just want to do shoots like on the weekends for fun as I'm starting to lose interest in just photographing DD as much as I love her lol. It's just repetitive now. I don't want to do it completely for free so I'm in the process of applying for a business license. The name I'm going with is free so that's a good thing lol.

Until I go any further I figured I'd set up a blog/portfolio site just to have and not worry about later. Using squarespace just like my blog for now. Eventually I'd like to use prophoto but this will do for now and I still have this particular site in the trial stage as it's $10/mo for squarespace. I'll renew it once I get the whole business license situated but I figured I'd get the general design done so I don't have to worry about it later. Sadly only I can see it while it's under the trial so all I have to share is a screenshot of the homepage lol.

That image is actually a slideshow and I just filled it with really old photos (like that one you see is from when DD was 11 mo old lol). You can actually read the links and such in the full version.

Now I need to meet some people out here to start building a portfolio because I know absolutely no one out here. Thankfully there is a facebook group for local deals and such so I'll likely post there first.

Basically bridal portraits? Well I guess it wouldn't be considered 'bridal' since the groom is in them too lol. That's a nice idea though! At least they will have photos to remember the day. :)

Yeah, basically! They're both young and broke, and I'm trying to build a portfolio, so it's a win-win!

Random question. If you had the 35mm f2 and 50mm f1.8 would you upgrade your 50 to the 1.4 first or or get a longer lens such as the 85 or 100? I really want to add a longer lens since having to sell my 55-250mm but I also REALLY want to upgrade my 50 as it now just feels really cheap on my 5D and next to my 35. :? I mean I guess it gets the job done but idk.
