I'm pretty sure we finally found our studio. It's downtown (In our old town where I took all these pictures) so we will have a bunch of buildings & stuff we can use outside as well. It has huge front windows, & it's this HUGE remodeled white room, with a smaller room in the back (probably our office & the kids' play room) & a bathroom. We go to look at it again at 1 today. We plan on making the front a reception area, & then partitioning off the "studio" & everything. I'm really excited. We have a lot of plans! AND the absolute best part is that it is ONLY $450 a month! Utilities will run about $100-200 so between the two of us splitting it , it is REALLY affordable :)

So the girl I did the newborn photos for is asking me to take some wedding photos at the beach for her uncle... I have no clue what to say. 1) wedding photos scare me  2) I am not good with direct sunlight AT ALL 3) I am super behind on editing... I mean I have half the newborn session and I have like 2,000+ of my own photos and I am getting a bit behind in school. I want to do it but I am nervous and don't know if I would be able to. I mean I took these yesterday of DS at the beach and the quality/lighting/focus seems off to me.

They look a tad bright, but otherwise they look fine! Do you use a UV filter? Or there are other filters that can help if the light is too bright.

I brightened them a bit because he had such dark shadows on him. These were taken at 2-3 so it was super bright. And no I don't. I'm not even sure what that is. *off to google*

Oh I see. They're not too awfully bright. But, you can just brighten him, and not the background using masks. I learned that from someone in here! LOL

I bought Lightroom 4 and I'm lost.
I've watched videos and I'm still a little confused.
Fail.
