Quoting SweetPetesMama:" I like them. I think her mom will love them. :)"

Thank you. I hope her mom will love them! I know that she won't order prints, because I've photographed her six month old son in the past, and she TOLD me at the time of the session that she never buys prints, she just prints the images from FACEBOOK

Did she at least pay you for your time? That's kind of a rude thing to do. I'd be pissed. Mind you, I've had photographers who were supposed to take photos of products to get free items. Kept the items, no photos, no contact, nada. So now I have a different system. Pay for what it costs me to make it, so if you skip out, I'm not out any money on materials, just my time. I get photos, you get a refund. I never even remove the money from my paypal account, in fact I've forgotten I even had money in there. Thankfully, other photographers actually like that idea. Been relieved with the response so far.

also took pictures today of Xander for his second Bday pictures. I was going back and forth on whether or not to take him to a "real" professional, since neither of my kids really let me take their picture

That is lovely. I really do like it. :) I'd be happy to get photos that clear.

No, didn't pay for my time, but I didn't ask her to. I figure I'm doing it as a friend for her. She wouldn't be able to afford pictures if I charged her, so its my little "birthday present" to Zoe. Zoe was stoked to have her picture done, so that was a good enough reward for me. And now I'm relieved, because of how fuzzy everything turned out.

But you have a really good system!

Thank you! I wouldn't have thought about the diaper or clothes lines! I'm so excited but super nervous with this being my first! I can't wait to post some pics when I can!

Aww. Yeah, just be calm and happy. I love it because if they get cranky, I have a good excuse to snuggle their baby and it's not weird. LOL! You will do great. If you have a smart phone see if you can find an app for womb sounds, that should make baby extra relaxed. Oh, and wear light colors. A white shirt if you have it. You will act as your own reflector without giving off an odd color. ;) Also have towels on hand. Sometimes they pee or poop and you need to clean up fast. I've been peed on and pooped on during photoshoots. It's pretty funny, you don't realize it until you get your shot, then your like "Um, why am I wet?"

Great idea on the white shirt! Haha things I would never think of! I've heard about making sure to have towels so I've got that part covered! I really just can't wait to squeeze him!

Besides catching a cute grin, squeezing them is the best part. When they get cranky you have an excuse to cuddle them. :D

CC anyone? And I didn't notice until after I uploaded, but I think there were a couple specks of dust on my lens. Easy fix, if I had only noticed it. The kids kept throwing dirt today.:lol:
