Quoting ℐαzmчn:" How exactly are you doing it? What I do for simple text watermarks is use the text tool. Type what ... [snip!] ... I use the brush tool, have the color set to white and have the opacity at 50 or I have it at 100 and set it to soft light."

:!::!:

This is exactly what I do in Photoshop!

It's in black I made sure but when I click in the box it wont even let me type. These are the 1st steps I'm doing. File new blank. Then go to text, draw my box and then go to start writing and it wont let me.

I don't even draw the box I just click lol I don't like the boxes because I'm always having to adjust them. Does a message pop up or anything when you're trying to type?

Thanks. I had a cat that looked like that one and she would bob her head when we had music with a good beat on, so when I found that, I had to have it. :D

Also it could be something simple. Sometimes the font tends to be too big for the document. Have you checked your font size? Also make sure your text layer is on top of anything else that could be another thing.

Try what I said above. If that doesn't work close out of photoshop and open it again.

What does the text layer need to be on? Or doesn't need to be on anything?

eta: My font was on 24 but I lowered it and still nothing.

I'm catching up, so ignore if this was said already...if you're just trying to use text, make sure the filter it's on is normal. The other day I was having issue with text, and it turned out that I had left the text settings on some other filter (can remember which) that made it invisible over the picture.

DH's aunt's husband just got her the 5D MKIII. I'm insanely jealous because 1) it's her first DSLR and 2) I'm sure she'll have no idea how to use it and ask me to help her lol.

Lol that was my first thought. :P But no I'm just going to continue saving for the 6D and keep my 5D MKI as my backup. :wink:
