Quoting ♀NoBoysAllowed:" Maybe it's just my husband, then LOL. He'd be like, "Where's my face?""

hahaha, I'm sure its just super subjective. Not everyone loves the head cut off look. its a more artistic approach :D

Quoting Icat:" :!::!: I like it, too, hun! I've used it before. I love that the portrait focuses on the child, but shows a great conncetion between the child and parent."

Thank you! That's kind of what I get too.

Quoting Andreahhh:" I think that "backdrop" is the worst thing I've ever seen LOL And $100??? "

$100 is pretty low for family portraits. Especially if her prices include discs and print releases, etc. However, for the quality of the photos, I would not pay $100, personally. Sorry to say it. Like I've said before. Everyone's tastes are different. Some like more of an edited photo, some like SOOC, etc. But there is a difference in understanding lighting, angles, etc. that I would consider portrait/custom photography.

Quoting Icat:" the only time I've used the pose was with a father/daughter shoot. The parents are divorced, and the kids don't get to see their dad as often as they want. The father really loved the set."

Aww well glad he liked them. I think this guy will be easy to please lol. I've posted a couple online and he likes them so far.

I think the shots a great first session. The angles look good. I agree with the other girls on some of the lighting fixes, but a good start on your path. :)

Quoting Mandy and her girls!~:" Ok so my shoot went kinda eh. The little girl was 3 and she was not into it lol. We got a few daddy and ... [snip!] ... how to give direction. But anyways which one of these do you like better. Pretty much the same just a little different angle. "

Do you happen to do a pre-consultation via phone, email or in person. I highly recommend always doing a pre-consultation first with clients and go over wardrobe. A client guide can also be made up with tips and such to give to them. :)

Thank you hun! As I was taking them I felt they weren't going to turn out at all but they always look so much better on the computer. Plus I feel I'm not as good as most of the women in here so I feel a little embarrassed but I know the only way to get better is practice, and learning more of course.

I didn't with him. I did as what they were going to wear and he told me he was going to wear just a t-shirt and jeans so I thought that meant just a solid shirt. Next time I plan I going over it more with the person though.

Sounds great. :) With every shoot, I swear I'm even learning something new I need to address with my clients prior. :)
