now i just feel bad. i was on a big photography high from winning the competition :D

now i feel kinda down that she isn't as thrilled as she originally was.

it's alrighti. she has another session with another photographer friend next week with her fiance. So they can do better ones then if she wants.

Personally, i really like several of them. So I'm going to try not to be hard on myself over it.

Don't be too hard on yourself. I was going to comment initially that some of them weren't very flattering (the laying down ones in particular) but I didn't want to speak up without you requesting CC. Posing people really takes practice and an eye. It's another one of those whole 'reasons to hire a pro' thing, you know? The whole shooting from above thing is just cliche crap IMO. You can't shoot an entire session from up above. It's not as if she's a large girl at all. There are certain things you can do to every body to maximize it.

Some people are really picky about their appearance. :(

I like some of the pictures you took too, I think you did good.

I had a momentary lapse where i started to feel down, btu i honestly did my best. and it was a free session so, she can pay someone if she wants better :) But I'm pretty pleased with several of them.

if you post the picture with your CC, I'd love some. Just be gentle-ish. :D

I really do just want to get better.

I found today that i was MUCH better at directing them, than I had been in other little shoots I've been doing. I was much more comfortable leading them and telling them how to move. I guess I just don't know the most flattering movements yet. It'll come.

thank you. I'm just being a pansy right now. Which ones did you like? and what CC do you have for the ones you don't like? (if you want to take a minute to share :) )

Yes they are, but it's still the photographer's job to maximize their appearance. I got a ton of photos from my maternity session with a double chin and it wasn't as if I was even really heavy lol.

I think for a free session you did well overall and I will be happy to give you some CC on it and tips to improve next time :) Just give me a few mins.

I only have one more session to finish before I get to edit my last senior and I can't wait. I had to have a quick play. For fun this is my FIRST frame I shot that day and the LAST frame. She was just great the whole time.. it's going to be impossible to narrow it down.. I'm going to have to be so so picky.

there were a few times when I directed her to push her chin out a bit, and straighten her back, just generally more flattering positions, but I didn't have my eyes out for it the whole time. That's one area I need to work on clearly. lol.

She's a gorgeous girl, though. If she feels heavy in the pictures, I really did mess up somewhere. Looking back, i can see MAYBE two or three where she could feel that way. she's also just bagging on herself. she's really hard on herself since she gained the weight. :( She's used to being a skinny mini.

Ugh. DH is making me feel like crap.
He said that the difference between him spending money on guns and if we were to upgrade my camera is that his guns can protect us and my camera couldn't

Obviously he doesn't know how much these things weigh.
