Quoting Legendary Bonnie Beaver:" hahahaha. That's awesome! And yeah. One of my packages got lost from WHCC and they sent another no questions ... [snip!] ... I've mainly just ordered a couple pictures, the luxe dvd cases (which they don't hold the cd very well) , and greeting cards."

I never even eat my suckers really.. I put them in client orders since I have like a bag of 100 of them saved up.

I wish I would of found this thread a long time ago! I have a Nikon D3100 and ALWAYS shoot in auto. O_O I know it's terrible, but I haven't had any time to figure out how to use the dang thing. O_O

It's easier once you get into the swing of it.

You just have to switch it to manual and don't ever go back :) haha that's what I did and just spent a lot of time researching settings. I am not even close to where I want to be but I love learning as i go!!

So I posted on my FB photography page that I was giving up photography. I just dont have the time, passion, or talent to continue. :( I'm so upset over it.

I'm going to do Liv's Vday pics, which will prob look like shit. that, and she wont sit still longer than 2 seconds. Any ideas on how to keep her sitting for a few shots at least?

And I'm doing 2 friends' weddings. Other than that... I'm done. :(

You should perhaps just take a break and only do what inspires you and makes you very happy. As far as keeping her still.. I don't know. I think the best thing to do is work WITH the curiosity. Get balloons or heart suckers or whatever. Or worst case scenario, get a large box wrapped up with pretty paper and stick her in it? LOL

Bribe her! What does she like and get as a treat for being good? Autumn is 2 1/2 and wiggly, easily distracted, uncooperative, etc, lol. But, if I offer to cook her some green beans or some dried cranberries, she'll sit still for at least 15 minutes and do what I ask, lol.
I bet you'll get some great shots of her and maybe it'll make you feel better about your photography and get inspired.

Thanks guys! I hope so! Nothing really.... nothing makes her sit still. Everyone calls her Ms. Busy.... she never stops. Ever. Well... Phones. Phones will make her sit still. But who wants that in a pic? LOL

Well I think your best bet is to try and capture her being cute and happy and in motion. Don't cause yourself undue stress trying to create some ideal image that might not happen. You'll get cute stuff but not wear yourself out in the process.

True... I just dont know where to do it! Our backyard isnt landscaped yet. I have my second living room that I can move some furniture since it has hardwood too. Other than that, there are no pretty outdoor places, and if there was, I'm sure she'd try to run off. ha ha. I feel so limited

Yeah that's a tough one. We've had such gross weather here lately but Friday is supposed to be nice so I'm doing Z's 2 year photos then since I don't know when it'll be nice again and the room I normally use as a 'studio' is full o' crap.

What did you use to calibrate your screens? I don't think mine is very off but I know I should calibrate it. Did anyone use a free software or know of a good one? I don't really have extra money to spend on it right now if its not something real cheap. I just don't want to use one and mess it up and make it worse.
