Quoting Two Princesses:" Gotta say, ow. lol My ex husband was 9 pounds 10 OZ at birth and I told him if my daughter came out ... [snip!] ... never been induced? My mom had 4 vaginal births and had to have a bit of Pit in two of the deliveries because labor stalled."

well with my older two girls I was "induced" because I was young and dumb and had no idea that I could refuse and go home since my water hadn't broken with either of them. I went in with my oldest daughter cause my ob doctor said I was "in labor" because I was 4cms dilated at his office and they gave me Pitocin and when my dilation got to 7-8cm they broke my water for me. she was born shortly after. my other daughter I regret how it happened. I went into the hospital at 38 weeks most likely I was not really near labor but because I was dilated to 4cms they made me stay and stuck me in the bed, put me on Pitocin again and then broke my water at 8cms. she was coming out minutes later. both were healthy but I hate how my labors went. (I went to a crappy hospital) with both of my boys I was at 3-4cms by 38 weeks and still went overdue. (6cms the day both were born after 40 weeks)

You're a stronger womabn than I.
I was young and ignorant when I had my two year old. My OB was going to induce me at 39 weeks even though my cervix was hard and closed because I had mild Pre-E.
Ended in c-section before it ever started because her heartbeat went down while I was being checked in.
Had I known what I know now, I would have said no induction unless it's life threatening when I'm not even dilated.
but if I were dilated to 4 or more CM I would probably cave and let them give me pit. bo that's how you are more woman than me lol.

I had NO complications at all with any of my pregnancies so induction was not necessary. All my babies had good heart rates and there was never any reason at all. my "longest" labor was my 2nd one though. I went in at 4pm and sat there contracting til 830ish when they came to break my water. she was born minutes after. lol and with my first I went in at 10am sat around doing nthing (no labor or contractions til they started the Pitocin after 1pm) and that was really slow. I started to hurt a lot after 7pm and she was born at 1030ish that night. both of my boys were even shorter in labor time. to be honest I think the hardest part about labor and birth was the afterward time. (the healing time) that was what I hated the most. peeing and pooping after I gave birth OUCH I did tear with two of them and the other two gave me minor lacerations. but the crowning wasn't nearly as bad as having to pee and feeling it on my stitches!!!

Ow ripping scares me. My recovery from my c-section wasn't too bad at all. I'm not really too scared of having a scheduled c-section. Not even scared of being completely sedated this time because I've been sedated before for other things. but a bit sad I'll be out when Kira is born.
I need to be sedated though because of my reaction to the spinal last time.
In your case I guess the arguement could be made that breaking your water helped things, but since your last two uninduced births went well and not too long it's completely uneeded. Will you go the full two weeks over due before considering induction again? I could see myself doing 41, but my OB wouldn't hear of such a thing in my case.

Quoting Two Princesses:" Oh I know. I start cramping if I stand too long or walk too far. and there's this odd pain in my right leg sometimes when I move. Do you have a name for your son yet?"

Yes I do! it's Emerson. What are you naming your little girl?

I'm having a scheduled csection too. I requested May 13th just waiting to hear about it. Which would be exactly 1 month from today EEEK!!! :)

Going two weeks over must hurt so much. I can't even imagine. and especially if you did cuz your babies were pretty good sized in the past.

Aww I like that name. :)
We are naming our daughter Kira. Kira Elizabeth.
May 13? that's one day before my actual due date. I know it can legally be done as early as 39 weeks, whichwould be May 11 for you. So as long as the OB has the time and space you should probably be given the day you ask for.
I chose May 7 cuz it's when I will be 39 weeks exactly. He tried to get me to check in at 7 in the morning and I was like, nooo. So the surgery will take place at noon PST.
Did you have a c-section before?

So quick update.. most of the fb girls know.. but with all the health issues and my risks for long term issues were higher with a vbac then a repeat c section.. we went ahead and scheduled for my c section for may 2nd at 9 am.. My little Noah will be here in 2.5 weeks unless he decides he doesn't want to wait that long lol

i don't think it would hurt much really. I mean sure its uncomfortable to have a big ole baby in there but I cant imagine it being painful haha.

I asked for first thing in the a.m :) But I'm willing to compromise! I really hope it's the 13th!! I find out this Friday for sure
Yes this is my 2nd csection. First one was an emergency so I hope this one goes more smoothly.

Why are they doing a 2nd csection for you? Mine is because my son was almost 12lbs so they just assume my 2nd will be pretty big too.

Had I actually been in labor, the one friend would have watched them, but since it wasn't an emergency and she already had plans, I told her not to worry about it

Sudden nausea and headache. Awesome. Thank GOD the kids are being good. DH'll come home if I need him to and all I want to do is lay down, but I feel bad after my trip to L&D last night that turned out to be just me being paranoid.

C'mon meds...kick in!

So I'm currently 36weeks 4days and I just lost my mucus plug. Gross. I have been having irregular contractions for a few weeks already and I was 1cmdated at my appointment yesterday. Now, I know that all of this really means nothing and I'm not hoping for the baby to come too early but GOD I hope this is a sign I'm not going to go late AGAIN. My first came 2 weeks late and was 8lbs1oz and my second was 1 week late and was 9lbs even. If baby could come a few days early this time and maybe not be quite as big that would be awesome.

There is so much pressure and pain down there this time, I don't think I'm you to do this again.
