Hi, id like to introduce myself. My name is Jes, I have 3 kids JJ(4), Brett(3), and Chloe my May baby.

Chloe was born almost a week late on May 18th weighing 6 lbs 7.4 oz and 19 1/2 in. Mini birth story. I woke up at 1am with contractions, got my son's dad up at 130 am had him get my roommate/acting birth partner/doula. Left for the hospital around 2. Got there was at 6 cms. Finally got into my own room around 310. I felt pressure and they checked me again I was at 7. Few minutes later I said I need to push, the nurses said don't cuz I wasn't complete, then they realized I was. Midwife wasn't there yet. At 316 water broke while pushing. Midwife got in JUST before she was born. She was born at 332 am.

Welcome and congrats. :)
I had my little girl Kira via repeat c-section on May 7, 2013 one week before her due date.
I also have a two year old daughter who will be three in October.

Quoting Two Princesses:" I don't think an induction is selfish if you go beyond your due date, especially since you're already ... [snip!] ... to be induced around June 6 anyway. Hope she comes on her own, though. Note: it's common for first time mom's to go over due."

Yeah, I don't want to go too terribly past my due date. I've heard of that, too. I know mom's on here would FREAK and talk about the lady who carried her baby for 45 weeks. I don't think they would let me do that here anyway. That's a little extreme. Good for her, glad she did it and had a healthy baby, but oh my gosh. A month and a week overdue? I don't think so. :/

Awh! Sending labor dust your way! :) You must be excited to see LO soon!

45 weeks? Why? Good lawd.
If you go over, your OB will likely set up a date. I see no reason why you can't ask for it to be June 3 or even June 2.
Some people on here are against induction, but if you are almost a week over due and already 1 CM which you will be by June 3 I honestly don't see what the fuss some would make is over.
Better baby be out and safe than being in there too long risking the placenta aging and other worse complications.

That is true. After joining this site, I am terrified to mention anything about induction and have even found that I have turned myself against it, when it isn't the worst thing in the world. o.o

Many women on here are against c-sections too, even though there is valid reasons for needing one.
I'd be way more worried about induction if you weren't already 1 CM if I were you.
Since you're 1 CM, you can ask for the foley bulb to see if that helps dilate you before trying the Cytotec
. If the foley works well enough, you can have your water broken once you are 4 CM or so I think. No drugs involved.
Figured I'd let you know what your options are since you are a first time mom These are valid points most first time mom's including myself wouldn't know to bring up with their OB.
You can make a birth plan,a nd he pretty much has to stick to it as long as it isn't unreasonable.

My OB and I started talking induction at my 39+ week appt (mostly bc I wanted to avoid my scheduled c/s). It honestly wasn't that terrible. We only did pitocin

That is great! Thank you! :) I've already made a birth plan and turned it in, haha. I suppose I could add some more and send in a revised version. We will discuss options at my 40 week appointment, though, I do believe :)

So I am a week overdue today and feeling very off this morning. If I don't go into labor today or tonight then they will induce me early tomorrow morning. Come on baby Remy. Mommy wants to go into labor on her own this time!

Had my son Saturday after an unexpected homebirth http://forum.baby-gaga.com/about2502824.html

Were both doing good.

Congrats to those who have had their LO's and lots of easy labor dust for those about to!

About to go read your home birth story now, how cool.
I may have already said it to you in the FB group, but I'll say it again. Congrats. :)
