Quoting Two Princesses:" Why isn't your brother supposed to be living there? I wish I was closer so I could help out. Can the 6 year old help at all?"

he's like a child at 30 years old and doesn't do anything for himself or contribute to the household at all, he is also a drug addict and even though he stays mostly clean, the past year we have had to deal with a few incidents. my mom swore to me he wouldn't be back because he's dangerous but I have nowhere else for us to go and he's back now anyway. (he hasn't done anything dangerous but the way he acts when he's on something makes him seem dangerous) i don't know how i am going to deal with him while he's here all day every day and im here with 5 kids alone. also he always eats the food i buy and drinks the milk, water and juice i buy which is stressful for me and my budget. mom and i will be having a nice talk when i get my kids to bed tonight. its really unfair to me and the kids and my dad that she is doing this. (dad doesn't want him here either) my 6 year old, well i WISH she would help out. i have been having a hell of a time just to get her to clean up after HERSELF so i don't think she will be much help at all. right now she is suppose to be picking up her room before bed and not one bit has been done. i have been trying to make her do it for over a week now and nothing has been done. i have tried everything to get her to listen too. nothing works.

Mine have had a hard time listening, especially since baby was born. I take away toys that aren't cleaned up at the end of the day and the bigs know it. They don't like it, but it's been the rule for a long time

Well it's official...we are DONE having kids. DH got the snip yesterday (baby Nan's 18 days old today). I'll admit I'm a little sad/bummed about it but I know it was the right choice since we can't afford any more kids and my oldest will be 8 in August and this is already a huge age gap (plus I'm almost 33)

I am 33, and I just had my third on May 28 and my husband is scheduled for his big snip on the 18th! How is your husband feeling? I can tell mine is nervous...
I am sad about not having anymore as well but I also want to feel secure financially so 3 it is!!

He's still a little sore today but he's not taken any ibuprofen since Sat or iced his junk since Friday. HE'S happy with the decision and that makes me happy even tho I'm just a smidge disappointed that T's our very LAST baby :(

Well, we're finally holding our baby! Almost nothing worked according to birth plan, but we have a healthy 7 pound 1/2 ounce boy, 18.5 inches born June 11th at 42 weeks +2 .

I had an ultrasound on Monday to check on the baby since I was 42+1. Baby was fine but there was NO amniotic fluid left (less than 1%) so my midwife directed us to the hospital and we proceeded with induction while baby was in good condition and he and I were still strong enough for the challenge. I was dilated 3 cm when we went to the hospital. My midwives came and supported us during the beginning, left us to get through the night of early labor (with my doula and husband with me) and came back in the morning when I got to 6 cm. Caleb Nathanael was born vaginally after 19 hours of labor (2 pushing) and finally needed vac assist. However, we only needed cytotec cervical suppository x2 doses, no pitocin (so thankful!) and made the journey without any other meds, pain meds or epidural. I had 2nd degree tears so got whatever local numbing they do before stitches.

We're home now!

Congrats!
Did the OB get the gender guess right? lol.
Sorry you didn't get the birthing plan you wanted, but glad he's here safe and sound.

Haha, yep. We opened the envelope last night.
I am just soooo thankful we didn't have to have a c-section!!! I am convinced I would have if I'd had an OB who would've undoubtedly wanted to induce at least a week sooner.
I got to try a lot of options (walking, shower, tub, exercise ball, chair) during labor, and my essential oils really helped me especially during pushing. I regret that I didn't tell DH how important it was to do perineal massage (he was practicing the last few weeks but when we got to those last few hours of the 19, we both forgot about it). :-(

I think a lot of people can say birth usually doesn't go exactly as planned. Thankfully you got a pretty natural vaginal birth though. I had 2 c-sections. I got into the hands of a induce/c-section OB when I was young, and ran out of options. Wish I had been able to have a vbac, but I heeled pretty well.
Are you breastfeeding?

Yes of course! So glad for La Leche Leaugue, the hospital nurses with lactation training, and my m?idwives' nurse who makes routine home visits to us. They all helped me figure it outi
