First time mom here... Yesterday I went for an elective 3D/4D ultrasound, my baby girl was very cooperative and enjoyed showing us her toes and even stuck her tongue out at us! My only concern was that it looked like her cord might be around her neck. It was kind of hard to tell for sure and the ultrasound tech didn't say anything about it, but it looks that way in some of the pics and on the dvd. I'm 29 weeks today and she is a very active baby in my opinion, even though I have nothing to compare it to. I'm sure this happens pretty often but I was wondering if any of you have experienced this and delivered your beautiful babies without complications from the cord. Thanks all!
if your doctor doesn't bring it up.. I'm sure it's fine. You're nt trained in ultrasound.. they are.
that said... many many MANY babies are born with a cord around the neck. It's very common.
If the tech didnt say anything, its probably not, but you're not due anytime soon so she could wiggle out of it since she's active if it is wrapped around her neck.
I had a 4D u/s and it looked like the cord was wrapped around my daughter's neck. I even posted a topic on here showing people the pictures and getting opinions. She was born healthy with no cord around her neck
If it was an elective ultrasound, they wouldn't tell you if there was a problem or not, they're not trained to and not allowed to.
But I'm sure everything is fine.
If you are that worried about it bring it up to your doctor at your next appt. and take your pictures w/ you, they may be able to shed some light on it for you.
