Why is my 9 month old son intentionally banging his head on the wall and other hard surfaces? Anyone else's child do this?
My LO does this especially when he is angry. I just correct him.
Lol because he's 9 months old :) My 11 month old does this, and it's a learning thing with them. Mj also does it because he finds it hilarious, which just baffles me. But, he's not hurting himself, so I don't worry too much.
My son did this too...floor, windows, walls...he stopped about 1-1 1/2...
Yea mine too. She is 8 months old. I did it as a baby and toddler to get intention. I used to fling myself on the floor too.
My daughter started that when she was 9mo. shes 3yrs and still does it when she gets mad lol
Could be out of frustration from not being able to communicate.. or even from being tired. Ive read that the rhythm of the banging is soothing
My son did it around that age and still does from time to time. He thinks it's hilarious! I asked his doc about it and she said that it's perfectly normal for most kids. They are just exploring the ways they can interact with the world. Crazy babies! :D
My daughter used to do this, I have a video of her when she was younger in her bouncy station thing, just banging her head on it. We thought it was funny until at the end of the video, she hit her mouth a little too hard and cried :( But after that she was fine again. Lol

No kidding! That's what my pedi said also :) He just finds it to be the funniest thing ever sometimes. He also does it when he's tired.
