Quoting I Love Blake Michael:" in ny you get the lisence first so that you can actualy get married...without a marrige lisence you cant get married...then after you get married they send you a marrige certificate"

You have to apply first. If it is approved, then you are given a license. After you are given the license you must have a ceremony within a certain amount of time or the license is void and you must apply for a new one. I have a feeling you missed a step of the process and that is what happened, because otherwise what you said makes no sense. It sounds like your "marriage" is not completely legal and that is where the problems are coming from.

Umm you do not have to apply you just go down to the court house and buy one...they approve it right there...the marriage is completely legal I have the marriage certificate... it's probably diffrent where you live

Idk if someone mis wrote that or if u mis read it but marriage age is 18, 16 with parental consent(idk if parental consent ages change by state but in mine it's 16 and yes I know some who have done it).

Why did you go to court in the first place if you guys got married. A judge will put a restraining order on someone if it is needed and asked for. But if your mom signed for the marriage then that was pointless.

GOOD NEWS :)...we went to court last night and they dropped the restraining order we just have to wait until 6o'clock tonight (so that the police stations and stuff get the papers stating it was dropped) then we can finaly see each other again :) we go back to court a week after the baby is born because the judge wants to see how good of a father he is so as long as he still has his job and is helping take care of his son they will drop all the charges
