I had an abortion. I regret the fact that I had one, now that I'm having problems TTC, but I was 12 and an emotional wreck. If you are strong enough to handle the child, then there is no reason to embrace the pregnancy. You aren't excited about your rapist, you're excited about your baby growing inside you.

maybe it's the people I know but they all seem to be like act like that is the only natural response. I guess I always expected myself to feel that way.

and I'm like 4 weeks along or something. 3 weeks from lmp 2 weeks since the incident.
and yea I just have always thought my first would be a girl maybe it's more hope but that's what I think... For the most part....

I am guilty of still calling him an "it" sometimes  I guess I just don't feel that connection with him yet and I've still got a bit of gender disappointment.

Anyway, it's not wrong to feel that way, like everyone said people have different outlooks on things.

Not all. I recently came into contact with a girl on a writing site I go on who was raped at a party and is now pregnant, whom she's deciding to keep. It's a very tough decision but it's still a baby regardless. I think it depends on how YOU personally feel about it. Like someone else said, it's okay to feel that way just like it's okay to NOT feel that way. I find that a bit inspiring to be honest, as long as you are happy that is what matters. I also referred to my daughter as "she" before I knew the gender :P it was a bad habit of mine lol.

I was just wondering how you can be 4 weeks pregnant if it only happened 2 weeks ago?
