Has anybody successfully relactated after losing supply for many months? I've been trying since May but have had no success as of yet.

I worked as a BF counselor at WIC. I HEARD of one girl doing it successfully but it takes a lot of effort. If you can get a supplemental nursing system, a really good pump, and a ton of dedication you can make it work. There are also some supplements and prescriptions your doctor can give you to help you if you can convince him/her. The girl I heard of was taking prolactin (not sure if it was injections or oral tablets) and that's what really did it.

I relactated after 3-4 months of no breast feeding.

Im already on fenugreek, blessed thistle, and mothers milk tea. I'm eating oatmeal 3 times a day, pumping has been a complete waste of time (though I'm trying to do it every couple hours any way), I'm working with someone to get ahold ofdomperidone (sp?), literally I've tried everything. I've been trying since May. WIC has no idea about relactation, at least here, so I've been seeing the lactation specialist at the hospital. I also am getting donated milk from a local woman. I ordered my sns on amazon earlier on the week.

I'm just getting so discouraged.
