What kinds do you guys use, or have your used? why did you like them or dislike them? I'm just trying to start thinking about what i want to get on after i have my baby in december. Note: I have tried the ring and didn't like it. And i'm allergic to the adhesive on patches. I was on mirena for a while, that was okay, but i was thinking about COPPER or paraguard, not sure which is the real name of it. its the IUD without hormones. I really wanted something without hormones cause hormones tend to cause me to gain weight and i'm going on a BIG weight loss diet after i have this baby.

So i was thinking maybe the copper iud non hormonal, and i was also curious about implanon. the one they put in your arm. Did it hurt getting put in, and did you guys like it? Because i do not want another baby after this one, i already know and IF i ever have another it will probably be at least maybe 10 years before i do. and i am very forgetful with pills. just need some imput. :)

I've have Depo ( hated it)
Paragard which is what you are talking about, and had to have it removed because I was allergic to the copper and it caused me a lot of problems ( VERY rare).
And now Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo ( pill) I love it. You won't be able to take it if you plan on breastfeeding though.

Paragard DOES hurt getting it put it.. It hurts pretty badly to be honest. I had it for 3 years and it served it's purpose, if I wasn't allergic to the copper I'd still have it.

I'm allergic to every kind that has hormones. The implant in your arm is the same as any other one with hormones. My sister and best friend had it and had bad reactions with it. But everyone is different. I plan on trying the copper one after I have my little girl.

yae i was thinking copper cause no hormones and i dont have to worry bout it, and i dont have to have a needle inserted to insert the birth control either lol. and it lasts longer than the regular mirena which is probably what i'd want. i think mirena is only 5 years but i gonna want bc for more than 5 years lol

nvm i got confused. i was thinking of the implannon not the paraguard. lol. the iuds do hurt getting put in thats the only thing thats making me think. but it might be better than a needle in my arm

yea i think i was on ortho something. i cant remeber but it was a blue pill. i guess it had lower dosage of hormones or something in it cause my friend had the same kid but higher dosage and hers was bright orange i think. and i liked pills, i just forget too easy and i dont wanna risk getting pregnant again.

The Paragard isn't that that bad.. I mean labors worse lol. They insert it on your period so it just like.. Intensifies your cramps. And your cramps will be more intense for a day or two after insertion.

The only way I can describe the insertion is you feel cramps and then like a burning sensation in your back and then your done. Then cramps for a few more days.
