Maternity jeans. The New Mrs. 2 kids; Lima, OH, United States 1301 posts

I'm looking online for some maternity pants.. and I have no idea as to what size I would need. There isn't a store within 30 miles that sells any, so I can't go try them on first.
I normally wear a size 13 in juniors.
So what would I need in maternity?

TIA.

Most of them have sizing information and tell you to base your choice on your pre-pregnancy size (unless you've gained more weight than is considered normal). You'll have to look at each brand's sizing info.

I wore a size 2 pre-pregnancy, and I was a size 2 maternity (or a size SMALL at Thyme)

I wear 18-20's in normal and maternity, so far. I gained a lot of butt in my first pregnancy that made nothing fit me. I wore sweat pants. Lol.

I wear sweats as much as I can, but I need at least 2 pairs of jeans for work .. and mine.. they are like 3 inches from buttoning.. I've even tried the rubber band trick lol.

I'm pretty sure it goes like this..

Small- Size 4-6
Medium- Size 8-12
Large- 12-16
XLarge- 18-22

I know for sure Small is 4-6 because that's my size. It was actually on the tag of a pair of maternity jeans I just bought, but the tag is in the trash already

Oh! If the still fit your legs and butt comfortably, order a Bella Band. You put it over the waist of your jeans so you can leave them unbuttoned and unzipped. I love mine! I think target carries them.

Yep, they do!
Kohl's had 'em too when I went shopping the other day. And BRU. At Kohl's and Target they were $16 and some change.

Almost all preggo jeans and pants are sized off of pre-pregnancy sizing. So if you're normally a 4-6 grab a size small 8-10 medium and so on. I would recommend a bely band but I'm SOOOOO glad my mother bought me a pair of panel jeans. I've been denying them up to about 14-15 weeks because I was in denial that I needed them. (I look now like I did at 6 months with my first! lol!) Let me tell you its night and day!! I'm wearing a band right now because I haven't had panels put in my uniform pants yet and its goten to an uncomforatble point because of the bottom of the zipper.

Also check consignment shops for some cheap jeans! Got a pair for $6 last week! Still a bit stretched out but I'll eventually fill it out (sooner than later) but how can you beat $6!! (and that's coming fron a self proclaimed jeans snob!!)

Good Luck!

I was a size 10-12 prepregnancy and I'm a large in maternity jeans. I can fit into a medium but a large gives me a little more room for my thighs.
