Quoting Chelsea Dawns Mama:" I actually really like that. He keeps pitching black and purple "

Those are dark colors though, for a nursery anyways.. Maybe you could chose a light purple to go with the stripes? :)

If that was the case then almost every person in the nation with a vagina would be a hooker

Yes, thats what i keep tellin him, but nooo it HAS to be a DARK purple, cuz light purple looks too "powdery" for his taste. And he said no to stripes too :/

I think he's just disappointed its a girl and not a boy. He REALLY wanted a boy. Thats why he keeps throwing out all these damn boyish ideas.

Well tell him little girls are always daddys girls. My husband was like that too, he really wanted a boy. We have 2 girls now and he doesn't want any boys now (I think hes lying). But I'd tell him you're doing the room how you want. You'll have his boy another time. Have fun with your girl.

I say screw it, and make it the way you want. Its a little girl, so the mama would know what is needed in that nursery. When you guys have a boy, let him have a say. :) If DH wouldn't have agreed with me, I would have just cut him out of the project. Once his little girl is here and wears nothing but pink, the nursery is not gonna matter honestly. It'll grow on him.

We agreed on the boy nursery idea, but we havent been able to decide anything for our little girl. It took FOREVER to agree on her name. I'm not even gung ho on pink, i just want it to look like a girls room.

I still would lol but I'm an a-hole when it comes to dressing the girls and such. I take care of them so I choose what they wear You want to enjoy having a girl.

Oh he'll have no choice in what she wears. We agreed he would spend his money on the nursery, and i would spend mine on her clothes.

Its hard, especially when the daddy wanted a boy. But he went into it knowing it was a 50/50 chance, and odds were not in his favor this time. lol. He has to give in a little.. The name was easy for me and DH, I automatically got the middle name, and the first name took us a week to decide. The nursery was the same, about a week to choose the theme and pick out the colors. As for the clothes though, she has a lot of pink, at first DH wasn't crazy about it, but hes more into dressing her up all girly than I am. haha. Shes just so cute he wants to show her off to everyone with the bows and headbands and its adorable. <3

I'm hoping thats how he'll be when she gets here. I have a feeling she'll have him wrapped around her little finger.

Well if he likes purple and black and you like the idea of at least purple see if you guys can find a medium purple instead of light or dark. Just go to menards or something and start looking at paint colors. I think if you guys look at paints together maybe you could come to an agreement better and instead of black see about a pretty grayish color (like maybe a light bluish-grey). I don't get to paint the nursery for my daughter unfortunately because I live in an apartment, but I'm sure its hard when you keep disagreeing with each other. I think when he sees that little girl for the first time though he will just instantly fall in love even if he is a bit dissapointed now. But remind him its the sperm that determines the gender.
